And a bunch of other B1G tournaments. But who cares? Everyone knows they are built to dominate large format tournaments where the other teams do not score with their lower end seeds just because the brackets are small.

Meh, Brooks was really the main guy that “faltered.”  Moreso just a result of what WKN said that their teams tend to be built more for NCAA tourney success than B1G tourney success

A word used against someone being corny or “goofy” in a sense. This word originates from a “corny ass” dude that's lives in ohio.

I had to look that up. I guess I'm the, "dummy in the back."

I don’t think it’s so much of what they’re built for, as it is a peaking principle. Cael’s really good at sacrificing something in the weeks prior to the NCAA tourney to have his guys at their best when it matters most. He’s the best at it. His dad was the same way as a coach.

With the elite guys they always have, it does weight more heavily the bigger the tournament though, that’s definitely true.

My point was at B1G last year Brooks was really the only guy that did worse there than at NCAA’s. I guess you could argue Kerk, but they also had Berge get 3rd from the 10 seed.

You could certainly argue Hildebrandt, who had gotten 4th the year before,  “faltered” at NCAA’s by scoring half a point.  They had 3.5 points total between 125, 149, 157, and 165.  But they didn’t need them because they had 5 champs.
