Minto was 100% defensive?? He got 1st TD of the match off his shot...

You PSU fans need to watch other teams wrestle.  Just because your guy doesn't get 5 TD a match like they do against their non-con schedule doesn't mean the other team is being defensive.

I will concede Minto got that TD off his shot, but the larger point remains. Their team wrestled defensively and in some cases quite obviously to get it into OT.

I mean up until that point Haines was chasing him & walked into that shot. Gameplay was to stall and get chased or that shot doesn't happenn right? Its a smart plan when outmatched.

And Haines displayed far more offense in the match as well. I won't be shocked if Haines majors him next time.

Agree.

I’d go something like:

Mesenbrink 90%

Barr 65%

Haines 60%

SVN 55%

Lilledahl 50%

Blaze 40%

Duke 35%

Welsh 25%

Mirasola 4%

Davis 1%

Your expected value would be 4, almost 5 champions.   I think your numbers are optimistic.  Lilledahl would only be 50% against Bouzakis alone.  I would go with 2 champs, 2 seconds and 4 other AAs.

No. Haines didn't walk into the shot.    Do you watch the matches or just blackout from yelling Stalling the whole time?  In that sequence, Minto shoots first first, Levi defends and then he shots, Minto defends that and then shoots his shot that got the TD.    All the action takes place in the center of the mat.

For the new PSU fans, wrestling has shots and counter shots. People defend shots, sometimes with a sprawl or downblock and turn that into their offense.      Handfighting for position is pretty normal and not stalling.

PSU fan's are the new Iowa fans when it come to yelling stalling.

After Haines unsportsmanlike like penalty, Minto could of stalled and won the match 2-1, if that was his actual gameplan.   But he was shooting and took the shot to extend his lead when it was there.  Haines continue to wrestle, wore Minto down and won the match.    He should get credit for the win.  Anyone who claims Minto was stalling or that was a gameplan, just doesn't know what they are talking about.  Sorry.

He could not have stalled and won the match - it was inevitable he was getting tracked down by Haines & obvious to anyone watching the match up to that point.  When a team never shoots sometimes they surprise the other - its the Nebraska playbook against PSU.

I think Lilledahl is greater than 50% against Bouzakis.

If I were a betting man which I’m not I would put a lot of money on PSU over 2 champs, and I am not a PSU fan.
