So, there are 28, with 6 going down at conference championships.  Potential 22 undefeated wrestlers.  That's a lot.

My predictions for undefeated going into NCAAs

125: Seymour

133: Seidel, Forrest

141: Mendez, Vega, Stanich

149 : Joy, SVN, Tyus

157: Meyer

165: MM, Dee

174: Haines, Ruiz

184: NONE

197: Barr

285: Yonger, Trumble

That would end with 17 undefeated which is a LOT. At 125 and 133 I just think the B10 cannibalizes itself, not picking any specific guys.

I was thinking of a new stat.  Not sure what it would be named, but something like participation rate.  Number of official events participated in divided by number of official scheduled events for your team total.  I just took a look at Penn State and they have Lilledahl, Blaze, Van Ness, Mesenbrink, Haines, Welsh, and Cole Mirasola wrestling every official event so far on the team schedule.  All but Mirasola are on this undefeated list above which I think means something pretty significant.

Maybe I'll take a l look at the other guys on the list at some point if time allows and curiosity gets the better of me

To me the levels to undefeated are shades of grey, but if you can step forward into every match your team asked of you - and you won all of those - that's a category above the others asterisk laden categories.

I gave it a shot using kevin's sheet : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1S_34EPfw_6r2ROVpf0dRQq7IQPlqQePI5p4GcAtKW6Q/edit?gid=0#gid=0

A lot of these are so low because teams will have opens on the official schedule and only send a few starters, but there is a clear problem with a lack of wrestling here.

Up to date as of 2/15/26  midnight

Updates from yesterday’s

• #2 Meyer Shapiro won by tech fall

• #2 Simon Ruiz over #19 Baer 2-0

• #2 Jaxon Joy did not wrestle as it was senior day, Joshua Saunders got the nod

• #3 Sheldon Seymour won by tech fall

• #5 Luke Stanich was MIA for second straight dual this weekend. Maybe he is wrestling at Mat Town  tomorrow to make sure he reaches 15 match minimum for RPi? Maybe he was just out idk.

Caden Kassidy has been removed!  He lost to Nugent from Central Michigan in their dual. Will post updated following all duals today

He had it coming. He had his team forefit 149 during one of the matches in a tri meet to duck Koy Buesguens.

100%

Interesting to see Blaze and Jax with Bonus % in the 80s with Byrd only at 25%. Just FYI, you have Byrd spelled Bryd : )  Also, Mesenbrink and Barr are the only wrestlers left with a 100% Bonus rate.

Awesome stats! I really appreciate all your hard work to compile these stats and present them in such a clean format.

I second that.  Nice work.

Just FYI, I posted your latest post/update over on the Penn State On3 forum since it is so informative and has so much Penn State relevance. I hope that is OK with you. Gaylon

Unless Kevin stops producing his piece, I will discontinue my version.  I only ever started this thread to start a conversation. that has already been achieved and Kevin has it going strong.
