Several state employees have stated they tried to report the fraud and were silenced. They were threatened with their jobs. They should have been treated as whistle blowers. This wasn't something that happened without notice, it was very much sanctioned by the administration.

You're an idiot. He "knew" about the fraud? Well, there's fraud at every level of govt as the greedy pvt sector is always trying to siphon off funding for themselves. So, what do you mean by that? Any idiot can guess that there's some fraud going on in any program.

There is a difference.   In MN, the taxpayers had no say over where their money went.   With a meme coin, you are personally making a decision where your money is going.   You seem to be concerned about the wrong thing here.   MN stealing  money from the taxpayers vs people voluntarily forking over hard earned money to Trump.   I'm not for Trump doing it but apparently it is not illegal, whereas what MN has done certainly is which is why there are so many under indictment.

You see meme coins as bribes ok.   I see the MN thing as the government interfering with efforts to get to the bottom of the corruption.   That means they are complicit.   Again, you don't appear to be upset about the corruption next door to you.  But apparently, you don't see it as corruption that $2 billion of taxpayer money was sent to Somalia and getting in the hands of a known terrorist outfit.

Public may never learn the exact amount lost to fraudulent grants given out by King Co. department

KING COUNTY, Wash. - The lack of documentation and disregard for the grant contract process was so bad the public may never find out how much was lost to potential fraud at the Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS). 

On Friday, King County Auditor Kymber Waltmunson confirmed to FOX 13 that DCHS continues to investigate potentially fraudulent grant contracts she uncovered, but says we will never know an exact amount that was lost.

The backstory:

Waltmunson’s audit looked at four youth programs: Family Intervention and Restorative services, Liberation and Healing from Systemic Racism, Restorative Community Pathways and Stopping the School-to-Prison Pipeline. Dozens of organizations tied to those four programs received grant money from DCHS.

The bombshell audit released in late August uncovered various issues, including instances of altered documents and unapproved subcontractors getting money. 

Councilmember Reagan Dunn requested the audit around two years ago.

The audit was asked for 2 years ago and just got done this past August.  So why was the audit not being done.   And why weren't these programs being audited.   I thought audits were a normal part of government but apparently not, especially when you don't want anyone to know what is really happening.   Ticks me off!
