More Good News For First Amendment Supporters

Did I say good? Silly me. Bad. I meant bad. 

In the least surprising development ever, the man whose incompetence was revealed by a free press exercising our First Amendment rights, has announced a new policy to trample on the First Amendment.

The Department of War on the First Amendment (DoWotFA) has a new policy requiring the press to sign a pledge saying they will not publish anything without the DoWotFA's approval, not even unclassified information, like say a story about the head of the DoWotFA using unsecure messaging on a government phone where a reporter has been invited into the chat, for example.

Forgive me for not accepting your take on the issue. I've heard way to many ridiculous lies this week. I'm sure this is just another gross exaggeration. It's not like PBS is an unbiased source.

Let's juat take paragraph one from the Fox article:

"The Pentagon on Friday announced sweeping new restrictions on journalists covering the Defense Department, requiring reporters to pledge they will not obtain or publish any information — even if unclassified — unless it has been expressly authorized by the government."

how have you been mislead?

or if you go a tad deeper into the Fox article:

"The restrictions represent a dramatic escalation in the Trump administration's efforts to limit press access to the Pentagon."

Fox also described the new rules as unprescedented, sweeping, and a crackdown.
