My side jobs are for fun. I don't need them one bit. Polishing rocks LOL. Good one.

Your mom always said to find something you’re good at and stick with it.  You’ve been polishing ever since

That's laziness.. I plan on working until I physically can't work anymore. Hard work is good for the soul..

I prefer to donate my time to charities. Next week I start back up at the homeless shelter serving meals.  It’s only a couple hours per day and not really that hard but it’s better than “just good” for the soul.

It's different for different people. For somebody that is able-bodied and driven to the same level as me, I'd say a good 50 to 55 hrs per week. As long as I also have time to work out.

50 hours doing what?

Depends. I was told not to go into personal details too much, but most of my work is in the office. One part-time job is a little bit active where I burn some calories.but that's mostly mental too.

I'd consider 80 to 90 hour per week of physical labor a hard job.  50 sounds more "part time" in comparison but "in office?"  🙄

I said 50 to 55. It was actually a lot higher for most of summer. An average of 3 hrs per day in addition to my primary full-time job.

Well 55 hrs is not 90 hrs and "in office" is not "hard work."  That former homeless guy I mentioned is working harder.

It is generally accepted that when we have something "important" to do, we fare better than those that have nothing "important" to do or nothing to do.   The definition of "important" is up to each individual and what drives them.   Continuing work is one, volunteering another, tutoring another, etc.   Retirement can end shortly if the retiree is not engaged in something more fulfilling than sitting and watching TV.   We need a purpose or we languish and/or die.  Plenty of people out there with no purpose, but they are languishing and not fulfilled for the most part.

Who the hell works 90 hours per week? I can tell you that I work harder than 90% of the general population and harder than 99.9% of wingers.

Yeah, this I believe.  And yet you have time to chime on here all day long.

You must be have more hours in the day than the regular human,  to work 50-55 hours a week on your main job, then work more than one part time job, then spend time with your alleged family, work out regularly, and spend hours on hours everyday arguing with strangers, while also having the time to figure out with certainty what 90% of the population does with their days.

Or….you’re full of s**t.

There’s a lot of evidence for one of those scenarios, not so much for the other.

I used to work those types of hours.  I was at tech start up pre-ipo and was an early employee.   I traveled so much at times I didn’t know where I was ha.

I did those types of hours for maybe 4/5 years.  Before that I was a 55/60 hour a week employee.   You can’t sustain that schedule over long sustained periods of time without sacrificing family or something else.   I’ll retire early etc but I will not be going back to that schedule.  I would Rather hang out with my kids at this point etc

If you don't know that some folks work 80-90 hr weeks then there's no way you can know if you work more than 90% of the population.  Once again 110% BS.
