It is the for the most part. I've been down there plenty of times. Was in Gulf Shores in March for example (with the in-laws family). Yah, there was some nice stuff but we agreed that we'd rather go somewhere else next time. And driving through Mississippi and Alabama and Memphis? Some major cesspools. Absolutely horrible.

I hear Jersey and PA are relatively beautiful this time of year.   May want to be sure to bring that mask though…

Canada had them. Bahahhaahhahahahahaha

if Cuba doesn’t have them there’s no way California would be allowed to become a nuclear state.

I'm sorry, are you saying Canada didn't?

They did. And they voluntarily gave them up in the 1980s when they were trying the whole disarmament strategy.

I'm constantly in awe of your stupidity.

The State that's MOST important to the United States(just objectively speaking)...THEY'D go to War to take back their Nukes?

That's your little theory?

You'd have to convince the rest of the nuclear powers that they're a world threat in order to stop them. U.S, even with the current regime, couldn't do it by themselves for very long.

They easily can. California would be a mini Canada.  Nothing more

I’m sorry, does Canada have them????  Had them means they don’t anymore.  Speaking of stupidity.

Ds have like a 16% approval rating these days

they're literally winning almost every or every election that is normally heavily contested. WI Supreme Court race in April was won by the Ds in a complete landslide, as an example. That's about 100x more important.

OMG. Yah, of course they could survive. Those guys are idiots if they argue otherwise. Why waste your time with such stupid arguments?

I think a lot of people would end up moving out of that state/country though if water became that expensive. Most (or all) other states still wouldn't be able to touch them economically, even if they lost a lot of people.

Again, it wouldn't become that expensive. That's the point that's trying to be conveyed here.

You wouldn't need the grid to power it.

You are aware how they're powering these massive Data Centers, right?

Look up the company Oklo. You'd have them build a facility. That would power the desalination plant. Musk was absolutely right in the clip that @Caveira posted thinking he was proving me wrong but... just...basically said the exact same thing I said.

Newsom, The Democrats in the State House, Musk, there is a consensus. Desalination is an easily and effective and now relatively cheap method to produce more than enough water.

I'm not entirely sure why in 2025 people think it'd be cost prohibitive.

Google Oklo. Again, too bad people didn't listen when I mentioned this about a year ago. It's about 700% since then.

California is against nuclear everything. Their laws make it nearly impossible.  Again the tree huggers don’t want nukes

So, are you arguing about whether they'd be able to survive or are you now saying that it's viable for most of the state to rely upon desalinized water, and still grow all those crops? I already know and admitted that it's used in specific situations.

Access to the Pacific Ocean.   California has to much militarily useful land for the us to let them go.

have your pipe dream.  It will never happen.   Not to mention their cozy cozy friendship with China.   The adults in the government won’t let it happen.

LOL...that was literally the TITLE OF THE THREAD and you're claiming it was my "strawman?"

No... god that's embarrassing for you! It was literally a thread about who poses the biggest threat to DOMESTIC terrorism! And then you even tried to post a link about "the influence of Pol Pot," from the New York Times, but you CLEARLY didn't have a subscription as it was 28 years old and it just about how he was forgotten and lived out his life in anonymity!

Bud, do NOT make me link that thread and embarrass you! There's no CHANCE you're saying I'm the one who made that about Domestic Terrorism! I came in like 3 pages into the thread!

And I'm not getting back into this "Leftist" ideology when you refuse to accept Fascism or White Nationalists on the right wing end of the spectrum.

You know the thread is literally on the 1st page. You probably didn't notice it because it says nothing about domestic terrorism.
