I think that a lot of this depends on how Spencer reacts. If he is focused on his teammates trying to pump them up, his response will be more muted. If he acknowledges the crowd as did Gable, he will probably get a similar response. If he gives the "I can't hear you" move to the crowd, probably not.

Anything less that a pin would surprise 99% of the crowd.

He's facing Gary Steen.  He could pin him about 30 different times if the match was allowed to go the full 7 minutes.

Yea, heard some of the boos.  Figured they’d flip once done.

Frankly, that sucks that they couldn’t recognize a great wrestler and show their appreciation.  Boo Penn State fans.

Well, I saw Penn State fans get to their feet and clap at end of the dual.  So it is possible.

I think they should be called out for not ‘tipping their hat’ to Spencer.  It would show a lot of appreciation.

Pretty different situation though.

Gable was the last match of the evening in a losing effort for his team. Lee wrestled two hours earlier when the result was very much in doubt.

This doesn’t matter.

There was probably more booing than applause when Lee was introduced. It was mixed. By far more applause than boos at the end.
