I just thought it would be nice to have a thread where we can post notable upsets and give credit to guys having breakout performances. I haven't looked into any brackets yet, so I have nothing to contribute yet.

Rocklin Zinkin has eye test wise looked incredible to me but lower competition so far, the kid he wrestled round 2 was pretty tough. Dallas Russell has been a big talent since he was little, but the Cosby win is probably his breakout for high school. Willie white from Florida lost to Miller but it was 11-5 which honestly is probably going to go down as the best loss of the tournament if I were to guess.

And he was in the match until he wasn't. He wrestled pretty damn well...💪

do you have any idea is he a like highland guy? Florida wrestling seems to be making a pretty serious jump as well as Utah.

Nicholas Garcia, IL over Ignacio Villasenor, OK (Dec 6-0)

Everything was off of Villasenor's offense. He got in on legs at will but couldn't finish

He did not look very good to me in the match prior either. He was definitely better at u20's but I have real concerns with how Knox is going to do at u20's.

#3 in Country at 175 Mario Carini is out of the tournament already

Honestly, Carini's ranking is a bit too high and he looked pretty lackluster in all his matches. But he's got a few more years. Joseph Antonio out of SJB is a better long term prospect IMO- great pickup for Army.

man, i love you guys. could talk Fargo all day.

Eggum's kid is at 150.

there's a kid that was kinda not on my radar - Nate Gugelman (ID). he didn't place but he beat some good guys (Verrette and Paridon)

Carini's high ranking comes with SR's (Antonio) being removed.

and what's left is not very deep. that being said, Carini still has two years of HS left. everyone is recruiting him.

A Kentucky kid - Luke Ricketts - came outta nowhere really to make quarters at 190. has Mastny next.

in that same bracket, it's nice to see Penovich doing so well after his long injury layoff.

TBD
