It seems like they all make the same mistakes. I get it's supposed to be fiction and entertaining, but when I watch some of them I can't help but think about it.

The movie Signs for example, aliens arrive and when they decide to take action, they jump out of their ships to fight/stalk us in hand to hand combat without any kind of clothes or protective suit. Also they'll die if water touches them. Did they overlook that? How could they be smart enough to invent interstellar travel but not do enough research on the planet they came to conquer?

Even though it's not an invasion movie, something similar happened to ET. He spends most of the days or around a week running around without any protective gear or clothing on putting everything in his mouth he can. Then we're supposed to feel sad because he gets sick and almost died? He brought that on himself. The aliens in War of the Worlds do it too. When they have humanity on the run, they get out of their giant armored tripods and celebrate by licking stuff and drinking puddle water. No surprise they dropped dead.

The last thing is why? Most alien invasion movies have them wanting to come here to steal our resources. Why would they bother to do that? Pretty much anything on Earth you can find in other places, without a local population that would be hostile to you arriving. If they can invest the time and effort to send warships all the way here from wherever, for the purpose of killing us to take our planets resources, why not just skip that step and just start doing it someplace you wouldn't have to start a war first?

DUH you wouldn't have a movie: Spielberg's: "Aliens land peacefully on Mars and Picked Stones" wasn't a big box office draw.

That doesn't explain the logic flaw of showing up here to conquer our planet but forgetting to put on protective gear. It would be like if we sent astronauts to Mars wearing shorts and flip flops because we didn't know the atmosphere isn't capable of supporting humans.

those smart aliens never come out or they will die.

If they didn't do basic recon before coming here they might.

I hope they didn't watched War of the Worlds, or we're doomed!

What always bothers me about that movie was the aliens buried the tripods here a million years ago. Before humans were walking the Earth. You'd think they'd know what kind of bacteria and germs are on Earth already, but they just forget or something, and end up dying ridiculously because of their own stupidity. And it wasn't like their plan was all that complicated either, just shoot humans and grind up their corpses as fertilizer.

I liked the Cruise one but Orson Welles was smart enough to realize this movie flaw. Hollywood SMH

He also could record one heck of a frozen peas commercial.

The aliens also disregard the resolve a few humans have to survive and beat them.   While everyone else is dying all around them, Tom Cruise is plotting revenge.

You’re welcome.  Look how much activity I Got you.

Nice job.

And also, good to know you own ScootersHonor, GeneMillsWhatever, and mspart-of-your-biatch-network.

Proud of you JimmySpanks. You're really moving up in this virtual world. Maybe getting close to 3 in a world where the others are in the 500,000's - and the tops are in the 1B+

Keep spanking it Jimmy - you'll catch up.

(Oh, and don't forget to be mean to posters. Being mean to people that want to participate is probably the formula the biggest winners are using. Right?)
