He might be better off to start as a RTC head coach. D1 head coach job has become pretty complicated.  Does he have any experience running a business or interacting in a university environment?

I think you're also getting Burroughs wife as a pseudo-coach. Seems very vocal and wants to be in-the-know from what i've seen on social media over the years.

Isn’t this half of the wives of college head coaches already? lol

He was at the Penn RTC and has been running the JB brand/business for a while.

Would like to see him at Rutgers or Michigan State should there be an opening at either.

Snyder seems to be the next nebby HC. But after what happened at Okie State with Taylor, anything can.

I wonder if the further he is removed from his prime competing days if he loses a bit of recruiting appeal. David immediately went in and even took bronze at worlds after, and all these kids grew up watching him in his prime. I wonder if despite being the goat if the kids in 5-10 years will not quite be as tantalized by JB.

I don't think legends the sport lose their recruiting appeal like guys that just had NCAA success. Even if kids in 10 years never watch a Jordan Burroughs match, they'll still know that he is one of the best to ever do it for the USA and that will carry weight.

Nebraska is the place for him. Manning is getting older. Bring Burroughs on staff for a couple of years & then Manning can retire. Much like Kurdelmeier did with Dan Gable at Iowa.

Who are they going move off their staff for Burroughs.  Bryan Snyder is the next in line I would think.  Tervel is the upper weights coach and then you have James Green.  Obviously Burroughs is a bigger name in wrestling than any of them, but would he be a better coach?

Not sure JB would succeed coaching D1.  I think the DT payday is his only reason for reconsidering - he sees the payday.

He would need a unique setup like DT got at OK State - had history, RTC, money.  Kind of plug and play situation.   Only Iowa and PSU offer the same.  RU would keep him in state but he'd have to build the program.  RU is not a good fit for the B10, maybe better in ACC so be tough job for JB.

I think he'd be better off running his camps, do media, some sort of business.

Manning would be the one moving off. Everyone else could stay. I don’t how badly Snyder wants to be a head coach, but since he’s been assistant so long and never took a head coaching job elsewhere, I’d assume he’s happy with his current role. He and Burroughs seem to have a great relationship and he’d probably be happy to work with him to try to build a powerhouse team. He’s smart enough to know that the recruiting power JB brings is what they need. Snyder adds the coaching he experience and knowledge of the program they need. Casey Cunningham is happy being an integral part of Penn States dynasty. Why would that be such a bad thing for Bryan Snyder?

I think it's more about the fan support and excitement around DT and the OKST program than the payday. And I'm sure after talking with David about his experience so far, it only furthered JB's interest. He mentioned how much he's enjoyed working with some active guys during his year off, and how it's shown him how much he really does enjoy coaching.
