Maybe you could give us your original thoughts on how they align with Pence on the war in Ukraine.  How far in debt should we go, how many more lives would you be willing to sacrifice, to win?  Do you think Ukraine can win without it becoming a full blown confrontation between us and Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran?

I agree a lot with Pence’s position on Russia, including what he has said in recent days, and I have felt that way for ten years since they first began illegally invading Ukraine. I happened to be in Russia during that time period, and they (their government) are a dirty dirty people.  I believe Pence is correct in that if Putin were allowed to take over Ukraine, it would not stop at Ukraine, again something I have believed for ten + years. I also that the lives being sacrificed are being sacrificed by Russia and their invasion, full stop.  Do I want American boots on the ground,  no.  But I do believe we should give Ukraine our support in stopping them.  It would be the best thing for our country, and the world as a whole. I don’t believe it’s a matter of Ukraine ‘winning’.  Have you seen what those dirty Russians have done to their country?   Nothing about that says winning, it’s about saving their country and freedom from Russia.  And yes I believe that can be done without the scare tactics some are using to try and keep us at bay

And Ukrainians aren’t?  They’re not a democracy.  They were considered one of the most corrupt countries in the world before Hunter and Joe became involved.  It hasn’t changed

So the Ukrainian deaths are worthwhile?  Especially since Zelensky agreed to a settlement with Putin in about the first three months until Biden convinced Boris Johnson to tell him not to sign it, that we would provide what he needed to win.

I don’t think we can afford for you to be wrong.  Hell, we couldn’t afford what we’ve already spent.  NATO, for all its bluster, has admitted that for Ukraine to succeed in pushing Russia back to pre-invasion borders will require substantial U.S. troop involvement.  They have nine times the money that Russia has, yet they can’t muster a military response to Russia without us.

I agree with @WrestlingRasta’s opinion of Putin, but I see continuing, expanding the war, more death and destruction as the wrong path.  The europeans engineered  this predicament when they relinquished their energy dependence to Russia.  Someone warned them about this, and they scoffed at him.  As long as Russia has money and nukes they can keep killing.  They are obviously willing to sacrifice a lot of people.  May be the saddest part, is our war mongers best sales pitch is that it’s keeping our munitions plants busy.

You’re a bit of an instigator, aren’t you.  How’s the guitar fittin’?

Fits good.   It plays different than my LP, but I'm getting used to it.   It still sounds very nice to my ears.   I have to put everything away each time I quit playing so I can't leave all the pedals hooked up and iti s a pain to get them out and set it up so I don't use them much.    Sounds pretty good even without effects.
