The right to protest or to freedom of speech is NOT reserved for citizens. It's absolutely afforded to anyone here on a student visa.

It takes SOOO little if you are ignorant about the laws impacting those here on student visas or...any other types of visa, Green Cards, any other way you're on US Soil... it's actually amazing someone could be an adult and think this would be about ME disagreeing and just not understand Freedom of Speech or the 1st amendment and think that was somehow a personal thing.

Where in the Constitution does it say that people are who are here as guests (or illegally entered the country) have the same rights as citizens?  Or are we talking about Supreme Court rulings? You do know that decisions can be overturned, correct?

Or are you poorly informed?

It doesn't say anything about student visas, aliens, etc.

You are referring to court interpretations of the 14th.  

You might not like it, but that is the way it is...

Supposedly Cael said it, haven't actually heard or seen him say it.  Flo also made it seem like he has a redshirt left.  Not sure if it would be wise to have him use the shirt, though.

I asked a simple question about Ono's eligibility. 

A buffoon commented that he thinks Ono has only one year because he is afraid of being deported to the El Salvador Supermax.  

I responded that I do not expect this to happen because I don't forsee him being involved in protests.  (I guess I should have mentioned violent protests, but that was a mistake on my part)

This turned into a discussion of non-citizens and constitutional rights.  I'm sorry that I am hurting so many feelings by informing many of you that no such rights were written into the constitution.  Just a fact.  The current court interpretation backs these rights being extended to non-citizens, but this could change (just like Plessy v Ferguson and Roe v Wade).  In fact a federal judge just ruled that the 5th amendment does not apply to non-citizens.

I have never given my opinion on this stuff, just stated facts.

Please show me where the 5th and 14th mentions student visas...

You conveniently left the preceding sentences out: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Seems to largely be about citizens and what their rights are, no?

I am fully aware that the courts have ruled that the Bill of Rights and other constitutional protections are extended to everyone inside of the US and even outside of the US in US custody (Gitmo).  All that I have been saying all along is that this is all subject to change.  Don't hate the messenger.  

I just wanted to know about Ono's eligibility.  I will not be continuing this discussion here.  If you want to engage me on this matter, feel free to do it on the non-wrestling forum.
