He thought he would be murdered if he got sent back to El Salvador.  He may not have thought he was in danger of that while living here

Soooooo

he didn’t pursue citizenship

he didn’t pursue asylum (until he got caught… fraudulently too)

he just  thought he would go to a country that also has ms13 issues… and they aren’t going to want to kill him here.

Without any gang affiliation, he “somehow” made them so mad in El Salvador’s they would remember to kill him 14 years later. But they (ms13) weren’t mad enough at him to phone their other ms13 buddies in the us to kill him here.    They were going to just wait to see if he was illegally deported.    Now he’s in a prison with a bazillion ms13 dudes who aren’t killing him as we speak.

crystal clear.

According to the Tennessee Star, Garcia was stopped on December 6, 2022, and the officer immediately discovered Abrego Garcia was transporting seven passengers from Texas to Maryland.

During a nearly two-hour traffic stop, the officer determined that Garcia was operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license and, after searching for information about him, discovered that he was on a terrorist watch list, but couldn’t locate Garcia on a deportation list.

However, another source told the outlet that it was one of his passengers, not Garcia, who was on the terrorist watch list. To settle the confusion, THP contacted the FBI, which at the time was led by former Director Christopher Wray under the Biden administration. The FBI instructed the officers at the scene to take pictures of all eight people and document the contents of the vehicle.

Once the FBI received the pictures, the agency reportedly requested that the THP release all eight individuals, and officers complied with the request.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Abrego-Garcia was arrested on March 28, 2019, during a meeting with several high-level MS-13 members in Hyattsville, Maryland, despite repeated claims by Democrats that he had no gang affiliation.

You know pretty much nothing about this case, that’s quite clear.  It wasn’t MS-13 he was afraid of

What gang was going to kill him in El Salvador then?   I assume you’ve seen television shows.   Like the shield or narcos.   Those gangs come across the boarder and kill their enemies here.  So why not ask for asylum properly for 14 years?

Being granted asylum wouldn’t protect him from being killed.  It wasn’t guaranteed he’d be granted asylum, so maybe he thought he’d be better off if he could lay low and just not have any interaction with the police.  Which I believe he did for 8 years until trying to find work at Home Depot.

It has nothing to do with proving your point but you go ahead and run with it.

You were implying El Salvador didn’t need to explain their evidence.   I said they should because we’re paying them.  You said we’d pay if he was here too.  But we have provided (crappy) evidence.  So congrats, you proved yourself wrong.

it was barrio 18 who wanted him dead in El Salvador.    They are one of the largest gangs in the western hemisphere.  They are Big time rivals with ms 13.  Barrio 18 started in get this……. Los Angeles in the good ol us of a.  So these guys want to kill you in El Salvador so you flee here illegally.   You think.  Hmmm.   I know barrio 18 is in this country I’m just not going to file for asylum for 14 years until I get arrested.  I am only going to be fearful for my life if big bad man deports me.   Got it.

They were extorting his family’s business.  In El Salvador.  So they knew where to find him there.  A lot harder to find him in the US, and if they did want to find him, him being granted asylum wouldn’t have really helped him.  Probably would have just made it easier to find him TBH

So your opinion is the only one that isn't "cute" and you have ALL the evidence and can ascertain it to be "flimsy"???  Come on man...at least be intellectually honest and just say "Based on only the sources I choose to read and what their headlines say, it seems to be that there isn't much evidence to the claims he is an MS13 gang member, I mean he said he isn't one, that he didn't come here illegally, never beat his wife, and he feared for his life even though he didn't state that when he first came to the country illegally."

I prefer to read primary sources, not biased media ones actually.

I don’t believe I’ve stated that he is NOT a gang member, merely that the evidence for him being one is extremely weak.  Read the documents and you’d likely agree.

The allegations from his wife certainly don’t look good though, but that’s irrelevant to this case, and his wife is requesting him back and says her claims were exaggerated.

I don’t really care about this particular guy all that much TBH.  I care more about the precedent this sets.  Even if he’s guilty of everything he’s accused of which he probably isn’t, he doesn’t deserve a possible life sentence.

Because we’re paying them doesn’t mean they have to explain anything. Just because you say so means squat.

So.   One of the things asylum gets you here is the right to petition for your other family members to come here.   He totally didn’t need any of that?   Just leave the rest down there to be threatened by a crazy violent gang?

Well then we could stop paying them.  But obviously we won’t because the administration doesn’t want them to explain anything.

Us paying them is also why they should willingly send him back if that’s what the Supreme Court says we should try to do which it is.   I can’t think of any reason why they wouldn’t send him back here if we asked, that’s one less person they have to deal with.

We’re paying for the service of housing criminals.  The further away from America the better.
