Bs propaganda. Employee discount isn't much then, or they'll raise it.

Would anything ever please you? Somewhere along the way someone hurt you bad or made fun of you for your weight, but you are so damn jaded. Something tells me you could win $100M and you would find a way to whine about the taxes you have to pay on it. You in all seriousness need help.

Haven’t car companies been offering this promotion for like decades?

Google is your friend.  We’ve been told for months now how PRICES ARE GOING UP ON EVERYTHING NO MATTER WHAT.  and here we have a company that chose to offer Americans a deal that they don’t get 99% of the time.   I’m proud to own a ford

You gotta love people that have so much hate for someone that they want the entire country to fail just because of him.   It’s a sickness for sure.

He has to have nothing invested in anything.  If that makes sense …. Anyone with a decent 401k or stocks in their portfolio or working on building a nice nest egg never roots for someone to fail like this.  This tells me he is very young.  Not well established in a job market or career and just an aggressively angry human being.

I could think Biden or some random democrat was The worst president / ruler in the history of the universe.  I said universe.   I still wouldn’t root for him to tank the market.    Now I would root for them to get voted out next election…. But never root for them to ruin my finances.

Congrats, you’re a sucker for marketing.  Pretty sure “employee pricing” isn’t that much of a deal anyway and they have offered it at times historically (far more than “1%”).  They’re just trying to capitalize on the current press and misunderstanding about the tariffs.  A lot of people probably don’t realize that a lot of “foreign” cars are produced in America, and some “American” ones aren’t.

Here’s the “American made index.”  Honda has the most models in the top 20 (5) and Toyota has 4.  The first Ford model comes in at #31 and the next at #56.

https://www.cars.com/articles/2024-cars-com-american-made-index-which-cars-are-the-most-american-484903/

Also, I don’t think many sane people were saying prices will go up on “everything.”  Cars had seen crazy price increases due to Covid, so may be due to come down even with the tariffs.  Possibly in part because it’s a major purchase that people might put off if they’re not confident in the overall state of the economy.

Well you’re right about the person saying everything is going to go UP isn’t sane. That being said IF YOU READ THE ARTICLE you would know that the thing most companies are going to do right now is RAISE PRICES.  Ford chose not to and offered up a deal that it usually only gives to its employees INSTEAD of raising prices.

Well if you read the article, you would have noticed they said the deal is on stuff they already had in inventory, AKA wasn’t effected by the tariffs.

It’s still a deal. They didn’t raise prices. Why can’t you thank them. ????

Because their cars aren’t very good.  Probably why they still have so much inventory

Actually they’re wonderful vehicles.  I’ve tried many different companies but they’ve been the best for me. I wouldn’t buy them otherwise.

It's the first.

You go and buy a new Ford, they'll go 4% below MSRP.

This is just to move their inventory as people are now afraid to pull the trigger on new sales because nobody has any idea if this moron will walk back these tariffs or not.

If it's 2026 and he's still got these MASSIVE tariffs in place and the EU, China, Canada and Mexico have hit us back, nobody is going to be buying a new vehicle anyway(I mean, some people, but very few).

I bought a new Toyota last year. Capstone. I don't have more that I need to pull but some ATV/SXS.

I would love to be blissfully ignorant enough to get excited about this as though it meant something.

Yup. Also, Car sales have been BAD the last year or so. Last vehicle I bought, I was going to buy used but they had so much inventory they needed to move, I ended up paying less than 10K more for brand new vs 2 years old.

Also, this is just for their current inventory.
