That’s absolutely terrifying. If this is all 100% legit and what’s been happening in his life, it’s time to walk away from wrestling if it has any correlation to his health and longevity.

Sheesh, that's insane. Is it wrestling related? If so, he should be taking a a timeout from wrestling to get his health back. Siezures and comas are not things you just tough it through.

I'm a huge Meyer Shapiro fan...he is without a doubt one of the most exciting wrestlers to watch in folkstyle and freestyle, but my fear is that his body simply isn't built to withstand the stress he puts on it with the "kitchen sink", "lets spike our heads into the mat" style he's known for.  Hopefully his family, coaches and others supporting him help guide him in a direction that protects his safety and long term health.

When a wrestler cuts weight, he or she reduces the fluid around the brain for cushioning. Concussions in wrestling could be virtually eliminated if weigh cut was eliminated,

I wonder how often in a given year there are concussions in wrestling and were they attributable to weight cutting? That would be an interesting study.

He has said that he stopped doing the aerial stuff this year, and having watched his matches he's kept to that program.

I note he didn't say what caused the punctured lung or the seizures.  Love to learn the back story on this one!

Shapiro does not have a hard cut, from what I understand.  Concussions occur, but they aren't frequent at all.
