Packard Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Will they place top four with 3 finalists and Kennedy AA? Dont know how the math works, but I’d say Gabe and Kueter will have one win a piece in the wrestle backs, Kennedy will place, and Ayala, Caliendo, and Buchanan lose in the finals.

cl415 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Not an Iowa guy but Parco and Teemer getting hurt is pretty brutal luck. I felt gutted for Parco especially seeing him after that injury tonight. The sport is unforgiving.

Spladle88 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 (edited) It is very risky "buying" a guy for a year that is in his 6th or 7th year of college wrestling......the wear and tear on the body is real......... Iowa has money to burn, and if they could develop them they would be way better off "buying" younger top level prospects off other programs........ Not a fan of NIL or Iowa for that matter, so would hate to see it, but it seems like it will unevitably be the trend........ Edited March 21 by Spladle88 1 2

Expand All 3 would be underdogs in the finals (assuming the 1 seeds make it through)

You get four all Americans with three finalists then it is a successful tournament. Especially considering injuries to two other potential All Americans. Ayala, Caliendo, and Buchanan will make or break Iowa’s season. If they only have one make the finals it is devastating.
