Assuming no injuries occur at NCAAs…

125 Lilledahl loses a close one to Smith in the quarters

133 a rusty Davis loses his first match to Phipps

141 Bartlett loses his second round match to Oliveri of Rutgers

149 SVN loses to McNeil in the quarters

157 Kasak loses to Blaze in the quarters

165 Mesenbrink is beat by Caliendo in the finals

174 Haines loses to Hamiti in the semis

184 Starocci loses to Keck in the finals

197 A injured Barr loses his second match to Munoz

HWT Kerk loses to Pindrickson in the semis

I think at most 4 of these scenarios could happen (125, 133, 174 and 197) but even if they did would Penn State still win the team title?

The worst case scenario for Penn State would be if an internet troll claimed to be a Penn State fan and a few gullible people believed him leaving them thinking that Penn State fans are dumber than a box of rocks.

That’s a bit much. I actually think it’s a well thought out post.  The most likely to me is Barr.  Munoz is tough.  Not an ideal opponent if you’re banged up.  It’s tough to rank them top to bottom. They all seem equally unlikely.

Well it’s a double elimination tournament as some schadenfreuders found out after Kasak’s 1st round loss last year, so who knows. If each wrestler here lost the next successive match where applicable, is that what you’re getting at? I thought you’d at least know most guys have to lose twice. I’d guess it would still be enough to win. It’s just too unlikely Jimmy that it would occur twice that quickly for all but Davis, maybe.

I think this is a good prediction really. Maybe 1 champ with mitch. But nebraska wins it all when this goes down

What is the BEST case for PSU?

125-Champ
133-3-5
141-Champ
149-Champ
157-Champ
165-Champ
174-Champ
184-Champ
197-2nd(He got the 4 seed and beat the #1 seed...don't think he can beat Buchanon...though I COULD see him beating Ferrari if he knocked off Cardenas again and it was him and Ferrari).
HWT-Runner-Up

Guys who haven't been AAs yet, 125(#1 seed) and 133(#8 seed)
Then you have 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, 4X, #4 seed, 1x

That's a nearly perfect tournament. Perfect would be Davis with...wht's REALLY a favorable draw beating Byrd in the Semis and getting Bailey in the finals who he has already beat.

All 10 guys have a realistic shot at a NC and the least likely is probably the defending undefeated NC at HWT

And what match is the final match of the Night? Keegan O'Toole vs Levi Haines...or Dean Hamiti or Starocci vs Keck?

I'll go the guy going for 5 vs the guy who is the defending Champ. That way 174 is at least 2nd to last. Can't start with Starocci.

Actual Predictions
125- 1st
133- 6-8(I'm a big Byrd fan...even though I know nothing about the kid, but I think that is the Semis and we all know PSU fares quite well in the Semis).
141-4th
149-1st
157-1st
165-1st
174-1st
184-1st
197-6th
HWT-2nd

The wild thing...PSU is losing 184 and HWT

Worst case scenario? While passing through the rugged peaks of Pennsylvania the PSU bus gets stuck and the team doesn't make weigh in.

HMRB while I almost drive a bus off the edge of a mountain

I was sure that this bus was toast (about the ONLY way that the nits would not take to the mats.)

Boring... what did you do to Triple Six?!? (Or did you steal his avatar?)

The Plot Thickens...

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
