I am not the youngest poster here. 

I can remember when the top 4 teams got a trophy at the NCAAs.

I also remember when the lines on the mat made a square not a circle, and the red & green lines were included in the 10' circle.

So funny you say that.  I don't remember the switch from square to circle, but looking back at old videos of myself, it's always the square!  I think a circle makes more sense.

That's just because Texas was too cheap to buy new mats!

Um no. I was living in Portland, Oregon at that time. 

Texas spends money on HS sports, too much. They spend too much money on football and not enough on wrestling. That is a topic for another day.
