Vance Vombaur continues to impress. The jump he's made from last year to this year has been really impressive.

 I was going to clarify that he was a surprise AA, but I assumed we all knew that. My mistake.

He was the 26 seed at NCAAs, he beat (7) Happel, (23) Fongaro, and (21) Edmonds to take 8th. 

He has looked to be on a different level this season.

him and chittum just aren't that good IMHO....i group them because they looked unbeatable physically overwhelming high school kids but thats not enough in d1
