DOGE continues to be a complete joke as they continue to cut pennies from our multi trillion dollar deficit. Laying off civilian staff from the Pentagon. How about some big ticket items, like the contractors raking in billions of non bid dollars for weapons we dont need?  They'll barely touch that or won't touch it at all. Guaranteed. Just cut workers, which are hired to eliminate waste fraud and abuse.

oh. another DOGE thread.

neat.

They're a joke, and I'll continue to expose the fact that they're incompetent and not really cutting the budget anything more than a negligible amount. Just cutting employees so his businesses won't be regulated as much. MORE waste and fraud will be the net result.

can't you just added it to one of the existing DOGE threads?

really? b/c they can't pass an audit and literally cannot account for where billions went.

So shrinking the work force will fix that, right? Fewer people to oversee the fat bloated non bid  contracts going to defense contractors.

Winger logic once again.

are you saying everyone they fired were accountants? lol

Not necessarily but many overseeing spending and oversight of contractors.

The savings will reportedly go toward more contractor $. Musk, coincidentally,  is a military contractor.

Anybody that isn't an idiot can see that DOGE isn't really about saving tax dollars but rather about eliminating oversight of the money and enforcement of federal regulations.

I can 100% guarantee that this ends up resulting in more waste and fraud. Too many idiots getting hoodwinked.

they are laying off from the largest corporation in the world

i agree, they can go after more depts.

but maybe they will

maybe you should wait for the facts to come in

The actual cuts themselves are negligible. The vast majority by far of the Pentagon's budget is for the fat cat contractors (like SpaceX) that don't even have to bid on overpriced weapon systems.

Let me know when we actually cut 0.5% of the overall Pentagon budget. I guarantee that overall deficit spending is gonna INCREASE this year.

they keep making cuts every day. and you keep saying it don't matter.

so what was YOUR admin doing?

As I said, the President Musk deficit will be BIGGER than the President Biden deficit. And you won't complain one bit. Total hypocrisy.

MY admin? I don't own an admin.

I have integrity so I'm gonna say that Biden did a poor job w the deficit. Doesn't change the fact that President Musk, diaper boy and thus congress are gonna do an even worse job.

The layoffs are a dog and pony show

When was the president sworn in again...only about 1.5 months ago...and yet people are complaining that DOGE has only cut a small percentage of the overall budget...then out the other side of their mouth complain they are going to fast??

I'll ask any of you who rip on Musk/Trump indiscriminately...let's just say what DOGE is cutting is a small percentage of the overall budget (again it's only been 1.5 MONTHS), do you honestly believe that it shouldn't be cut if it is wasteful/fraud because it is a small percentage???  You honestly don't think if this continues for another 3.75 years that a significant impact can be made to cut the budget and remove waste/fraud??

1.1 months.  1 month and 3 days    And it’s all to the good.  Many of the most important positions have been filled with impressive leaders.  The interest rate has started lowering a little.  It’s only a matter of time before egg prices start falling.  What will the dimocrats complain about then?

What a dumb statement. Of course egg prices should fall. They're at all time highs, since diaper boy took office, by a huge amount. Very hard for them to continue that. Even staying somewhat close to the current levels would be a huge disappointment. Inflation hasn't slowed down at all yet and overall deficit spending is going even higher. FAIL!

The reason for the high cost of eggs isn’t inflation.  The Trump adm. is moving to alleviate the irresponsible slaughter of chickens, which will bring their prices back to normal.
