Highly possible. The question is why would he want to go to college here when Japan has colleges that are just as good and a lot closer. If he was getting paid big NIL bucks I'm sure that could be a tipping point.

Obviously things are a little different now with NIL and everything, but when Nazar Kulchytskyy from Ukraine moved to Wisconsin, he was allowed to compete at Fargo as a high schooler (he got 3rd) and at NCAA D3 (3x champ), but couldn't compete at WTT type events until he got citizenship.  I've got to imagine a guy like Rin at Oklahoma State is kind of in the same situation, where he can rep an NCAA school but can only rep Japan in international competition unless his citizenship status changes.

I stand corrected. Thanks.

I thought the same until one of my Comp 112 students wrote a research paper on it. In any event, I have unwavering faith that lawyers will lawyer and find ways to get their clients paid, e.g. (from the SI story)

Some of the nation’s most sophisticated collective management companies have been able to bypass the restrictions of F-1 student visas. One Penn State collective was able to passively license Canadian athletes’ NIL for billboards in their home country.  While these endorsements require additional care and financial investment to ensure compliance with passive licensing principles, they can be helpful tools for collectives to attract and retain elite international talent.

I can’t imagine Aaron Nagao thought this was part of God’s plan for him

The question is where will Nagao be wrestling next season? He'd be a huge upgrade for most teams.

Did not pay attention to this thread as I thought it was either a joke or not serious. Is this for serious? He could be wrestling for a title as soon as next year?

I assume he did not enroll at Penn State to just get a bachelor's degree and play intramural ultimate frisbee.

Pretty shiity reasons to do it.

Why?  It's publicly available, not hidden behind a login or password.

Are you scolding the multiple posters on BWI for doing the same?

I feel like your mom when you were five years old. Jimmy, just because someone else did something wrong, does that mean you should do something wrong? Grow up.

As for you second immature response (what about? Poor me. Why is he picking on me?). The answer is yes.

Except it's not wrong to post publicly available information.  Explain to me why you disagree.

Why don't you grow a spine and a conscience and remove it yourself?

I can't.  You don't have the ability to delete or edit posts after a certain amount of time.
