I voted for Trump.  I didn’t vote for Elon Musk, although I knew he was going to be involved and it was one of my biggest concerns.  I am in favor of the idea of DOGE, but it seems like it in practice it has been very partisan.  It will also likely lead to the tanking of our economy.  Some may argue that needs to happen for the long term, but I’d bet many that voted for Trump don’t feel that way.

My overall claim is that citizens (left and right) should be skeptical of the media, recognize media propaganda from all biases, and and that the media is heavily influenced by the government.

The ethical should be thankful for DOGE's mission and progress.

We should question what inside of us is supporting to undermine the greater good to rapidly reduce wasteful spending.

Republican states regularly vote to kill programs providing meals to students in need. We can easily take care of our own, but choose not to. And those pesky red states lead the way there. Just like they do in overall obesity, child mortality, mother mortality, and pretty much every other bad health outcome.

The USA located refugee warrants similar help to local citizens...

Stepping back, there is no moral duty to help those globally without satisfactory addressing local issues first.

Taking care of your own before you take care of others is as natural as it comes. 

At what point does aiding those in global need get outweighed by local economic constraints?

Framing Republicans unfairly ignores that they give more to charity than Dems, and that both give a good amount.  You might also not understand that they want to help those that want to help themself.  They also support welfare with tighter conditions.

Once the Sudanese kid arrived in America, the R wants to quickly provide the education and therapy necessary for integration and to help them build a life different from the one they experienced growing up.  Or eventually relocate if they choose not to integrate.

From what I'm witnessing, it seems the D wants the education and therapy but also Americans change their culture to accept the Sudan culture into its own.  And if that refugee never became self-reliant, they'd continue welfare indefinitely.

If our country is to spend money, it should enabling those to take care of their own people.  

Having one's kids die from starvation is a strong motivator to get "it" together.
