Teemer, Shapiro, Figueroa, maybe Crookham and others are all highly ranked and were out a long portion of the season. Many of these guys haven’t wrestled a tournament this season due to injury, and most likely won’t before post season.

I could see this being a real disadvantage come nationals when being used to the grind of multiple weigh ins/matches over multiple days is a good measure of wrestling shape and prep for Nationals.

Have there been other high ranked guys who missed the first half of the season and won?

O'Toole fits this bill as well.

In recent memory, Figs, Carter, Nolf, and Cory Clark all won NCAAs despite battling significant injuries and/or missing time

I think the question is more about time missed and I know Carter didn't miss much. Not sure about the others

Sure, but it was a very serious injury and occured relatively late - leaving less time for recovery.

Lincoln McIllravy sat for a good portion of his final championship season with concussions.

Didn't remember that we even knew what concussions were back then.

I think Cody Brewer was a similar case in 2015, I believe it was injury that caused him not to get many matches, before going on a tear and winning as the 13 seed.

I can’t.   But can you imagine how bad they must have been given the way they treated head injuries back then.   Ouch.
