@WrestlingRasta Have you started the journey to decenter your whiteness?

Are you kidding?  Have you even seen the “Smokers” thread??? Have you followed along at all? How more decentered could I get than engaging in the spirit of the Rrrrrrasta??

I saw Am I Racist last Friday.    The best bits were at the end and they were hilarious.   But most of the movie was not really all that funny.   It was revealing about how people thought as jross has stated.   Essentially, Walsh allowed those that wanted to hang themselves do so.   Others he allowed them to speak their peace.   He drew opinions from a wide variety of folks.   One of the more sobering scenes was where he was teaching a DEI class and the last step to stop being a racist was self flagellation.   Two participants in the class walked out but others took the whips.   And he wondered as narrator about those that left the class, and then said to himself, who would take the whip?   He shut down the class before anyone whipped themselves, but it appeared that there were a few that were willing to do so.   That was an eye opener.

All of the anti-racists charged him money to talk to him or participate in their workshop.   All of the other folks, did not charge him for their opinions.

This is not remarkable.  We already know anti-racism is a business.  BLM is a business.  DEI is a very lucrative business for those delivering DEI for corporations, universities, and institutions.  Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were primarily businessman running their own very profitable businesses.  Just like the protection racket/business.  Pay for peace.
