Climate change is on the ballot here in WA.   WA passed a carbon credit that raised the price of gas 25-50 cents/gallon based on what the carbon credit auction goes for every quarter.   An initiative is on the ballot to get rid of this law.

WA state regulators have mandated that no new construction can have natural gas.   The state legislature passed a law to phase out natural gas allowing providers to cut off service.   This includes restaurants.   An initiative is on the ballot that if passed, will stop both of those and put in the state code that the people have the right to choose whatever form of energy they find most efficient and price conducive.

Of course the initiative is titled on the ballot by the AG of the state.   He has chosen wording that is confusing the nature of the initiative so that what is very clear is turned around and a reasonable person would vote no, just based on the ballot title.

Yes, Climate change is on the ballot here for sure.

There is definitely a strong case for not wanting to implement climate-related changes. It's a global community and cutting down our own emissions has a limited benefit when countries like China and India don't follow suite.

However, there is still zero doubt whatsoever that humans are responsible for the vast majority or all of the climate change we're seeing. Trying to deny this is an outright lie.

Two separate issues here.

It's a tale old as time. People want all sorts of free lunches. Cleaner energy, American made products, the list is nearly endless. They just want them to not cost one penny more than the status quo.
