This was predicted by someone on this board at the start of the season.  Swisher appears to have captured the Penn 149 lb roster spot for the post-season.  He had been up at 157 and looks good at 149 in recent matches against Cornell and Princeton.  Might have a shot at qualifying for NCAA's and winning some big matches in the post season.  Surprising poise for a frosh and has some good offense and pace.  Tough on top as well.

"Played" the Allocation system perfectly.

2-1 @ 149 going into the FINAL weekend of the regular season.

Wrestled 3 backups @ F&M Scramble on Saturday and another 3 backups @ Patriot Last Chance on Sunday to acquire the necessary 8 matches to qualify for Win Pct & Coaches  Rank consideration.

Gets a #28 CR (presumably based on the win vs Rivera of Princeton) in a weight class requiring 28/28/.720.

Not sure how people feel about a wrestler earning an Allocation for your Conference in this calculated but legitimate manner ?

If you create a system, people will find a way to beat the system.  At least he actually wrestled those six bouts.

His record at 149 is 8-1; his loss was by one point to Cornell's Ethan Fernandez.  His weakest win was a 12-1 major decision.  Strength of schedule not impressive.  Hard to say that merits #28.  WrestleStat is still trying to figure out what to do about him -- they don't show a starter for Penn at 149, they have Swisher ranked 11th overall at 157.

According to the EIWA website, Swisher is at 149 (like everyone has been saying) and Revano is going 157 at the conference tournament. WrestleStat has it fixed now too.

I feel good about it. Assuming he qualifies, Swisher is going to be a land mine at NCAAs.

Also, Penn is good at math.

The old system was better.   We should go back to that.
