Why did this review in the 184 match take 5 minutes? It was a clear takedown. Jeeze

They were eating Doritos. The 2 security guards were blocking the camera.

Wow, Gophers with a number of short time victories to quiet the crowd and win the match. Fun to see Wells take it from Shawver who has had McKee’s number for years.

That was a great dual. McEnelly looked great and will be a hammer in the coming years, Wells is a grinder.

Wells was a beast on his feet in high school. The kind of guy that would score 10 different kinds of takedowns in a match. He has been very cautious his last few matches, which paid off today. Once he gains a little more confidence at this level I think we see him open it up a bit.

Just watched the replay shortly after the live stream ended on BTN+. People were saying that Eggum would be gone if not for Gable winning titles, but Minnesota clearly was the better coached team. Winning all 3 of the matches that were 1-1 going into the last minute or so is coaching.

Rutgers 197lber looked like he didn’t want to be there, I saw that loss coming from the 2nd period when he looked to be going for the “easy” finishes rather than the high percentage finishes that Wouk score points more consistently. He’s an all American though so hard for me to judge….

He's coming off an injury, and is way too small for the weight.

He basically decided not to cut weight this year, he already had a small frame for 184, but he was powerful and extremely hard to score on. He's getting outmuscled at 197, and his splits defense just doesn't work at 197 because guys can still reach his other leg.

He was 12-0 coming into today, with only 3 being regular decisions, so it was kind of working for him.

That's an easy to say if you have never watched him wrestle before.  Go watch film of him from high school and his college career at 184 then revisit that comment.

Anyone who's made the "I'm burnt out and want to eat I'm moving up in weight" weight bump decision recognizes it in others as well...

Lol I was gonna say are there any other arenas besides Rutgers where they need security guards to protect the refs during the replay review?

He doesn’t have a small frame and he’s like 6 ‘1 ..Hell he was wrestling 182 as a junior in high school in 2019 and I doubt he just decided he doesn’t want to cut weight , definitely a Goodale thing trying to get both him and Soldano (an entire other disaster) in the lineup so he can keep hyping Rutgers and duals meets because that’s all he has going for him right now bc they peaked at national level years ago and have been trending the other direction since . Poz hasn’t looked burned out all year , in fact he looked more like his true freshman season this year then he has the past 2, Joles lose is definitely a head scratcher and a bad lose at a bad time but he could very well AA this year and will be in the R12 at worst
