Bottom half of 174...  Army WP's Pasiuk won over the 3rd seed Norman of Stanford, 10-6... frustration is shown by Norman as fist fly. Flagrant misconduct bounces Norman out of the tournament. (I think all his team points get tossed out as well?)

We'll have to see if the DQ erases the team points that Norman accumulated for Stanford.

Ayres can't be pleased w/ that (his wrestler's misconduct, that is.)

Wow what caused it?  Was it a chippy match all along or just came by surprise at the end?  Did Pasiuk antagonize?

I caught the end of the 3rd... few seconds left as the ref starts the bout.

It appears that Pasiuk just backed up towards the OOB line... that's when Norman took a swing as the bout concluded.

I gotta rewatch that bout again...

He took two swings; I guess the first could be considered a really hard but barely legal "club," but the second was a swing to inflict damage.

(edit)

Make that three swings, the middle of which was close to a straight jab.

Probably got tired of listening to Ward's whining and screaming from Army Corner and took it out on Pasiuk......

Rule for a Flagrant Misconduct (which apparently is the ruling for this match):

Art. 3. Wrestler — Prematch, Match or Postmatch Period — Tournament. A flagrant misconduct violation during a tournament shall be penalized by the deduction of one team point, removal from the premises for the remainder of the event, declaration of the opponent as the winner and two team points awarded for advancement. Additionally, the wrestler charged with the flagrant misconduct will not be credited with points earned before the incident, nor receive placement points or an individual tournament award.
