Rocky was going for the major and looked like he ran out of gas trying to finish a shot. Just bellied out and conceded the takedown.

Is Rocky coming off an injury?  Sounds like he was dominant most of the match, and I see Novak is ranked #21, but I would think he would have put up bonus with his resume.  Completely understandable if he is just coming back from an injury, and we are a long way from March, but thought he would have pushed the pace to major.

 

As I've said before on here, I think one thing that separates PSU from other programs (like Mizzou), is that their guys push for bonus constantly. For Mizzou to get a trophy, our veterans like Mauller, KOT, Mocco, Elam and Elam need to push when they're tired.  KOT always does, but if we want to be in trophy contention, we need a team effort in the later part of the season...

Not sure the story on Rocky. Whatever it is, he will get in straightened out sooner or later. I’m wondering if Smith is giving guys meets off to keep them fresh. Not a terrible idea. Seems like Seltzer is having a rough time with weight management.

Rocky started the season injured.  He missed the Black & Gold scrimmage, and their first 3 competitions.  A poster on another board I read said he was coming off of surgery, but I can't confirm that.

He gets that tank and he is contending.  His length will gice Brooks and Hidlay fits, methinks.

197 has some good wrestlers outside of Brooks and Hidley. I’d add Buchanan, Sloan and Ferrari who is said to have enrolled at Iowa yesterday with his brother. Pretty deep weight. Brooke is the favorite on paper but anyone of the others could be this years Marcus Coleman.

All of the Mizzou fans should be happy about Kade Moore. That kid is solid with a few funky things up his sleeve. He will push for bonus points once he gets his college sea legs under him. Great pick up.
