And all we've learned is the depths they have gone to to cover and hide the truth.  They ain't doing it because there's nothing to see there.

Dude dropped his laptop off at a political enemy's shop for repair and then completely spaced he left it there.   Same dude is a world class political operative with a specialty in money laundering. 🙂I would have guessed the BG would provide technical support.

Not world class, who's saying that. It just a bunch of corrupt bureaucrats covering for corrupt politicians.  The cover up isn't even debatable, only the details of it.

Cover up?  For the media?  It is literally available online.

There is no scenario in which this investigation was other than top, top priority in the Trump administration.  Result?  Nothing but cheap, uncorroborated propaganda forwarded to and distributed by the NY Post.

Now that's unmitigated whitewashing.

There is only 1 rule in the media, do no harm to democrats.  FBI whistle blowers are coming forever saying the FBI covered it up, and even the CIA has admitted to the false narrative of Russian misinformation.

McCaul moves toward holding Blinken in contempt for again defying subpoena

May 12, 2023 10:25 AM

A top House Republican is moving closer to holding Secretary of State Antony Blinken in contempt after he again refused to comply with a subpoena demanding the State Department hand over a July 2021 dissent cable from the United States Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX), chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, has argued since late 2021 that the Biden administration has been stonewalling his investigations into the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.

An aide for the House Foreign Affairs Committee told the Washington Examiner on Friday that the State Department “has once again failed to comply with the subpoena,” and so McCaul will now work with his fellow committee members “to pursue holding Secretary Blinken in contempt of Congress.”

McCaul is fed up with Blinken repeatedly refusing to hand over an internal dissent cable that was signed by two dozen U.S. Embassy members in Kabul and sent to the State Department in mid-July 2021, just over a month before the Taliban took Kabul. The dissent cable is known to have criticized the State Department’s planning for the evacuation and warned that Kabul could collapse soon after the U.S. troop withdrawal.

What is Blinken blinking for?   We all know and have been told many times that this was the most orderly and wonderful evacuation of a war zone ever in the history of mankind, never mind what you saw live when it was happening.

You know, he could have waited and got all the munitions out.   Or he could have started getting all of the munitions out some time in advance.   Perhaps he knew Taliban were closing in and that is why he rushed the schedule and they were  just not ready for the evacuation.   Whatever it was, it was a horrible fiasco that they did fall on their sword for but have never fessed up to the reality of the dismal failure of an operation that it was.

I feel for the loss of life in the bombing and the Afghans who were left behind.  Abandoning the munitions was a military decision.  I recall the Secretary saying it wouldn't be useful to the Afghans.

It is done, Blinken should cough up the documents and then we can move on.

Perhaps he has same counsel as Trump and  was advised to delay, ignore and sue in a vain attempt to run out an imaginary clock.
