Tyler- Thank you man. I really appreciate that...Did you see Murdock's match vs Finger from AZ...a close one. Some saying wrong call on edge? IDK, go check it out and tell me what you think if you get some time.

I wish the rosters were cleaner, I feel like the way I did it was based on seed, so as a result when there are changes it has a huge impact. I put out some more content today, highlighting best matches (my opinion) and some "upsets", take a look and see. Hopefully I can go through and dive a little deeper into those brackets tomorrow.

Your previews and articles on MatScouts were great and I want to send my congrats to Dean on that u20 Pan Am title

Thank you man, I really appreciate that. Pretty good win for Dean as well. Thought initially that maybe Brown (CAN) and Bachman (PR) would be there. Bachman went U23 for PR a few weeks ago and Brown is the 65KG rep for CAN for U23. Either way all good, Mendoza is a hoss and so very talented, good way to end the FS season for Dean.

Yes I would have loved to see those four in a bracket but any win over Mendoza is an impressive one, that is a guy who will be in podium contention from day 1 at Michigan

See below - no CA bias here! 😉

100: Ty Martin (IA)

106: Luke Loren (CA) - underrated SJB product. Wouldn't be an upset if he wins this bracket

113: Thales Silva (CA)

120: Anthony Garza (CA) - will make a name for himself nationally

126: Sammy Sanchez (CA) - my pick until someone outside of CA beats him (Rocklin Zinkin, Isaiah Cortez)

132: Paul Kenny (NJ) - gets revenge on Antonio Mills

138: Tyler Dekraker (FL)

144: Jesse Grajeda (CA) - best high school wrestler in the Nation on his feet. Starts fast, fades fast

150: Clinton Shepherd (IN) - Love how this guy wrestles. Wish he wasn't headed to Penn State

157: Charlie DeSena (FL)

165: Melvin Miller (PA)

175: Mario Carini (CA) - Steadily improving.

190: Mason Ontiveros (CA) - Dude's hit or miss. I'm hoping he hits. If he misses, then gimme Nick Singer (PA)

215: Daniel Moylan (CA) - Dark Horse, but overall, it's a pretty soft bracket

285: Michael Mocco (FL) - I don't see anyone in this bracket who can challenge

Just wrestle who is in front of you and go from there. I agree Mendoza win is a big one, Mendoza is so good and agree he is a medal threat right away!!

I second the props for Dean. Had a great freestyle season. Only going to get better wrestling for Schwab.

Dube, Weber, and Wurster have all looked good so far.

I’ve done more watching of matches today and more bracket shuffling than I would like to admit and with all the results and craziness of the event, I can’t count anyone out.

I will say this, Fargo is unique because it’s three days and that’s different for many, it’s hard to keep momentum for three days. Also they weighed in night before and now weigh in tomorrow AM plus 2, that can be really hard as well….maybe not so much for 18U but definitely a thing for 16U which has the later session. So weight and recovery can be a thing day 3 for sure.

Thanks for the kind words on Dean.

Bechtold big win too!!

Kid was really slept on because he does not compete a ton but if you watched him in season this year it was pretty evident he may have been the best guy here. He had two barn burners with Elijah brown and would have probably gotten teched by him his freshman year I think he will be very good!
