  1. Past hour
  2. I mean... Frank the Tank looks down on Nicky Pushups, and Frank the Tank was a manlet at 65 KG.
  3. Why anyone would listen to Newsom is beyond me. The result speak for themselves.
  4. Crime will almost always drop at least a little if u flood an area w LE. It wasn't just NG. It was FBI, DEA, ICE, etc. The question is how much, was it worth it to FEDERAL taxpayers and what happens after they leave. It's pretty dumb to conclude right now that it "worked." The big waste here is NG.
  5. Kaching!!!! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ mspart
  6. It's hard to disagree with you, so I won't. He's a manlet. He can't suddenly grow four inches taller and be the right size to go 65 KG.
  7. But the short term benefit is there for all to see in DC. I mentioned this in another post. If the locality does not change tactics, then the NG effort will be short term only and not long term. But the short term benefit will clearly show the people of the city what the Ds offer them. And it is only more death and carnage and poverty. Long term cities should increase the police force so there can be effective policing. But the courts and prosecutors need to be on board as well. mspart
  8. Me thinks you could make a lot of extra coin selling organic maple leaf masks thru the Amazon.com
  9. I think the positive outcome from having the NG in DC was showing the mayor that more police are needed. Obviously having the NG anywhere for an extended period of time is problematic. Why do we call in the NG for riots but not to assist in crime prevention on a temporary basis?
  10. Also please elaborate on the neglect these inner city kids receive from their fathers which has a far greater impact than anything that happened two centuries ago.
  11. It worked in DC. It should be worth a try at some other crime riddled locale. Chicago could really experience a renaissance with 1 killing a week and less than 10 shots fired a week. Alas, that is so far out of scope with current practices that it seems like it is time to try something different. mspart
  12. Please elaborate on how any of us on here put them in a hole. I can’t wait to hear this one.
  13. It's just a bad use of NG. They arent trained for LE at all. They can't do much (eg arrest anybody) and it's not practicable to keep them there forever. We're pulling them away from their jobs and families for negligible long term benefit.
  14. Oregon too. OSU wrestlers will have to practice with masks and dual with masks. The science is in, the masks did not protect. It is just another power grab. mspart
  15. Basically the NG is allowing the police to do their jobs while being a pretty effective deterrent. Hasn’t t really been engagement because there hasn’t needed to be.
  16. How can you honestly type something like that? I’m not being sarcastic. With all the information of redlining and the effects of white flight that we know of and have easy access to over the years. How can you be so cold and mean when talking about potentially helping KIDS that are need of the bare minimum of education? Lumping them all as ‘gang kids’. Mu sister taught K in an inner city schools for 15 years. The kids are just regular kids. The parents that belong to a disenfranchised group tend to not encourage the importance of education. It’s because of the decades of your similar attitude reflected back to them by political leaders for generations. Please, please, before you start thinking about 'victim mentality' or a slogan about bootstraps. Please, just consider that this problem is decades or centuries in the making. And calling kids, and they are kids, 'gang kids' is not helpful and could lead one to believe that no matter what solutions to this problem is suggested that you would be against it because of the bias you are boldly announcing with that phrasing. One black president does not mean that the problem has been solved or even adequately addressed. No one is attacking YOU for any reason. This is just to let you know that there is, likely, information you and, until recently, I have not been exposed to. Nothing is being taken away from you if/when an historically neglected population is offered a helping hand out of the hole, we ALL put them in.
  17. That would be quite the promotion. mspart
  18. I genuinely don't understand why using NG to supplement the police shortage is an issue. They aren't invading people's privacy like big brother. Would it be more acceptable if they were military police because they have the training?
  19. Maybe Chicago doesn’t need 150 extra cops
  20. Illinois, Minnesota, NY will probably follow too.
  21. I can't argue with any of this. mspart
  22. So you agree with me. Not all union reps are current cops Perfect.
  23. Fire back some of that horse de wormer
  24. I could see WA trying to do this. They love everything CA does. mspart
