  1. Past hour
  2. Thems is strong words there ROF. mspart
  3. Do something like what? Win at poker? NOT A SIN. Giving the money to charity? The charity will probably use it better than the government. NOT A SIN. Isn't it dogma on the conservative side that charities do better than government at helping people anyway? Pritzker has enough flaws to attack that no one should self-buffoonerate by focusing on this.
  4. Liar. The good old reagan "welfare queen" myth. You can masquerade as the voice of reason all you want. But you are still largely full of crap.
  5. I think he said he was going to give it all to charity. You can be sure he will deduct as much as he can for that. I have no problem with that but for a guy that says the rich should pay their fair share to go and do something like that, that just reeks. mspart
  6. Or the $ he saved trying to cheat the state out of his property taxes … toilet gate
  7. I nominate WKN. mspart
  8. The question is, was his starting cash his or the Tax Payers lol......
  9. Congrats to him. Must be a smart guy. Winning that much playing black Jack takes some intelligence, and guts.
  10. Too late. I told them I would do it for 9.
  11. I think he declared it. There is a video of him vaguely saying how he won it.
  12. Everyone has problems. The US Welfare system is broken, plain and simple. People on full assistance have nicer things than my kids. You go to Dunbar High in Fort Myers, and all you see are kids wearing Jordans, using iPhones, and so on. Of course, not all kids have that, but come on, you are choosing to ignore the reality that our systems are broken. When you all realize that neither side has a vested interest in you succeeding, you can start to do things for yourself. You are acting as though no transportation programs exist. Nearly all major cities and most states have (TAP) programs in place, and numerous non-profit organizations, such as the United Way, exist to remove the barriers you keep putting up for people. Do me a favor and dial 211 on your phone right now..
  13. There seems to be a genetic component to longevity. It might be a more powerful correlation to longevity than geography and, perhaps, even causal. Crazy idea, I know. If we take the percentage of American genes and then look at the world's populations with all the same percentages does that basket of genes come out above or below 46? Is our decline recently due to the change in the genetic mix? Another way to ask this is Do Japanese Americans die faster than Japanese? Do African Americans die faster than Africans? Do TransAmericans die faster than TransEuropeans? If we are going to get all science-y and start throwing around statements like "crap country" let's do the math and figure out if we are, in fact, just a reflection of a bunch of crap genes. Do we have anyone good at math and spreadsheets and statistics who can help us here? I would do it but I have been accused of applying garbage math by some of our more worthy brethren.
  14. I am calling BS on this. No one should begrudge Pritzker his winnings. IF he does not pay the 50% or so combined federal and state taxes he owes on the win then we can throw around terms like hypocrite. But winning is no sin.
  15. I think I am listening to the break between 157 and 165 on a Hawkeye Wrestling Radio broadcast. I might as well be listening to the Canadian French radio broadcast that comes through from time to time on the AM dial as well as I understand all the jargon!
  16. I did see where wrestling has the 8th most participation on the boys side. But, the quality isn't what it used to be on a team level imo.
  17. We don’t agree. Americans voted to have the illegals deported. My family emigrated here legally. Get in line. Do it right. breaking the rules to get here should not get you an advantage over those that follow the rules.
  18. I feel as though the Temu sports was kinda what Stanford did for years. I mean, they spend a lot of money on football, but to the degree that comparable P5 programs did because they wanted to win at the Olympic sports and keep their title as the school with the most NCAA champs. "True" NIL deals by third parties are still allowed and don't count towards the revenue sharing cap, so guys like Nicolls can still have an outsized influence on recruiting and such, esp since the NCAA clearinghouse has no idea what the fair market value for an athlete is (or even what the formula for determining FMV should be), as Wkn has mentioned before. There are new rules for people like him that might slow down his deals, but probably not stop them. Also, if any PSU insiders are reading this, please let the AD know that I'd be happy to be fired as their head football coach for a paltry $10mil. Talk about a deal!!!
  19. So we agree. Mass amnesty. Then they can work and contribute and pay into the system. Or is you knee jerk reaction to pull up the ladder on everyone because you’re spiteful of your situation? Ya probably that. Not many people who went through tough times wish it upon others unless they have some trauma to deal with. I sense you fall into that category. Do better.
  20. It’s part of their waste. Stop wasting money and asking your base for more. The rich already pay the vast majority of taxes.
  21. Desperately lol …. Lots of businesses exiting tax crazy blue states. ILL and Cali too boss

  23. Great. I infer from this that you are a big fan that we shut down USAID which gave money to anyone but Americans. And stopping funding for Haitian homosexual and transitionersexual dance instruction. See, there is agreement on many issues. Oh, and nothing for illegal aliens. They aren't Americans. Another thing we can all agree on. This is getting easier and easier.
