Who should get seeded at National Duals? Pick 4
ionel replied to okokzach's topic in College Wrestling
The Paycom guy (Chad) isn't even an OSU guy. He is a guy who supports wrestling in Oklahoma ... went to UofCO. But yeah if it were the "school's" money they would spend it on something else like a new football coach. -
Many of them don't, you're right. The main difference is that we act like one country is evil and the other is righteous, and then we fund the "righteous" one so they can actually carry out their genocidal desires. As long as there is asymmetrical power created by the West, this conflict will continue. The West has the power to do the right thing - enforce a peace process and begin a reconciliation process in both countries to re-educate them to view the others as human beings with shared interest and fates.

Pretty sure it's the way they've always done Ntl Duals (too many matches if full WB) except for the money thing which is a bonus. -

Would you have felt better if it read: The host school whose major donor is paying for it or are we just being naive that Paycom = OSU Wrestling. -
On 10/3/2025 at 11:59 AM, reversaloffortune said: Humanity has a moral obligation to feed the hungry, shelter the cold, and treat the sick. Of course. But not via federal governments. Not via force. A moral obligation is just that - moral. Between the individual and God. So RoF, how about you reach into your own pocket to do it and not mine? You meet your moral obligation to give XX% of your working life to feed, clothe, and treat people you don't know in your volunteer (morally obligated) way and I will do it in my volunteer (morally obligated) way. Why don't those who want one just form a Leftie Health Coop (LHC). A couple of quick assumptions: The Americans left of center politically is about 50% of the populace = 170 million people About 50% of the wealth ($160 trillion) of the nation = $80 trillion Annual Household income = $84k/year and we have about 132 million households so total household income is about $10 Trillion per year Here's the scheme: Identify as a Dem or leftie or Antifa or Greenie or anything hating "The Man" and you are automatically part of LHC. Simply do the following: Send 10% of your wealth to LHC Pre-fund the scheme with $ 8 trillion Send 10% of all income ($500 Billion per year total) to LHC Just show your DNC card (uh oh!! An ID!! But this is to keep the freeloading conservatives from scamming the system) or foreign citizen ID card at the emergency room, operating room, or doctor's office and the LHC will pay. No questions asked. Millions of lives will be saved including AOC's reincarnated life after she died on J6. P.S. No tax deductions. How you pay for your health care and your morally obligated payment for others' health care does not relieve you of paying your fair percentage (via a flat tax most appropriately) for roads, defense, courts, and Haitian male prostitute dance lessons. If all the libs who want universal "free" health care would just form a mutual support organization and pay for it themselves it would form the most well funded health care organization in the world. Just do it. No one is stopping you. Then you would be meeting your moral obligation while at the same time as giving me the freedom to meet my moral obligation is the way I see fit. What could go wrong? Is just moral.

So this isn't true wrestlebacks. The semi-final losers will wrestle for 3rd/4th. So if you don't make the semi-finals you are wrestling back for 5th, which is a substantially lower payout. -
I completely agree. This country is not quite as bad as Nazi Germany of the 30s/40s, but closer to that than any developed country in the world. What's happening in the West Bank is getting largely ignored but also horrific. That video is particularly disturbing but, unfortunately, a very common way of thinking over there.

Hare reports that about 1 percent of the general population meets the clinical criteria for psychopathy. Hare, RD (1994), "Predators: The Disturbing World of the Psychopaths among Us", Psychology Today, 27 (1): 54–61. Hare further claims that the prevalence of psychopaths is higher in the business world than in the general population. Figures of around 3–4 percent have been cited for more senior positions in business. Baibak, P; Hare, RD (2007), Snakes in Suits: When Psychopaths Go to Work. The AI Personality Assessment reports much higher psychopathy in the non wrestling forums. “For I did not consider myself justified in exterminating the men—in other words, killing them or having them killed—and then allowing their children to grow up to wreak vengeance on our children and grandchildren. The difficult decision had to be taken to make these people disappear from the face of the earth.” -Heinrich Himmler, 1943

Something makes me laugh about that Arizona State/Michigan matchup. VT and Minnesota should be a fun one, as will UNI/NC State. -
... not that anythings wrong with that ...

- Iowa has the easiest road to the Semis - Bottom half seems stronger than the top half. Not sure I can see anything other than Iowa/OSU semis. - Cornell being the weakest with 1/2 their lineup out and getting drawn in against the host school who is paying for this thing. Not a full conspiracy but that's convenient. - Lehigh/Nebraska might be the toughest 1st round. Lehigh might only need 1 match to go their way and pull off the "upset" - Yes, there could be some great individual matches in the 1st round, but too many of these never materialize in the past for me to get that excited about it in October. -
