Is there a future for Connor Mirasola at PSU?

Is it better to train in that environment for a couple of seasons and soak up as much information and knowledge as possible and then transfer out for his final two years? -
When a 300 lb guy is squeezing you like that, it's not going to feel good.

I'd be more open if this admin (under pressure from fat Donny) didn't have a well established history of taking action based upon limited evidence or justification. Therefore, the data indicates that this is most likely a sham.

Anyone know why Charlie Millard took a MFF? Was looking forward to seeing him go with Lockett.

I've lost 25 lbs thanks to Ozempic. My ass looks incredible.

He got choked out while being pinned. Likely precautionary, hopefully nothing more. https://x.com/WrestlingSNL/status/1916223869549002980?t=lfe4OPVYBc6SK0T3zSGclg&s=19

My favorite part of this is how everyone in here feels so strongly about how we cannot trust the govt or media. Well, unless….feelings. Then of course it’s jump on first word and ride it like a wave. Maybe we should sit tight for at least a few of days and see what comes of all this.

Vito had a post saying both retired same day (yesterday?) and expressed gratitude to both. I loved watching both wrestle. College into seniors. Both phenomenal.

Dake is too small for 86kg. He will have to adjust his strategy against the 86kg elite wrestlers. It would take a mini miracle for him to win gold at this weight class.

https://www.wsj.com/health/wellness/ozempic-amateur-athletes-3fc9e0bf?st=MDcCJp&reflink=article_copyURL_share WSJ article saying in small doses it is helping weight sensitive athletes. Example of being able to gain muscle mass. Also has examples of caution. Not working well. Seems mixed in end.

I'm sure Zahid trains ass off. He needs figure out what is needed to not be exhausted art end. That's what holding him to next level. So far he had Dake and Brooks beat but could not and barely hung on. Time for experts . Not me. But he does need figure that out. I would bet on Dake best of 3 next time JMHO Frank C

Mirzazadeh is like 25/26 years old and Yousefi is 27 I think. Relatively speaking for 130kg Greco they are still quite young. I think your analysis is pretty spot on regarding the three. However, since UWW might be changing the passivity rules for the worlds and olympics Mirzazadeh might be at a disadvantage. Especially since Yousefi and Hedayati have both looked really really good recently. But given Greco's trajectory in recent years it would be hard to see anyone aside from Iran having strong enough 130s to challenge any of these three. The only prospects I can think of would be Hamza Bakir of Turkiye, the U20 Ukrainian and another junior Hungarian as potential threats. Even Semenov is like 30 so he could still be around for a couple more years but I don't see him drastically improving at 33/34 to beat these guys entering their primes.

I hope he is running a club of some sort. We need more wrestlers of the previous generation involved in grass roots coaching. Him, Reza Yazdani, Komeil Ghasemi and Mehdi Taghavi have a lot to offer for our current crop of guys. I know Ghasemi is in India at the moment. I feel like Dabir's influence in the freestyle space is preventing our coaches from doing their job even though wrestling-wise I think Dabir is doing a great job overall.

I saw a clip on Twitter where Schultz pinned Coon, Coon looked like he was completely unconscious. Might've had his bell rung or choked out.

Wow 70kg is loaded

Anyone know what happened in the 130KG Greco finals. I heard Schultz pinned Coon and then Coon FF the second match. Injury from the first match?
-
He is elderly in middle weight years. The only wrestling demographic that performs well from their mid 30s to early 40s are greco roman super heavyweights.

Gotta be fake news ... left wingers like rv wouldn't lie to us.

You didn't make a mistake. Flo had it listed at 6:00PM Eastern. I even made an early trip to pick up pizzas!

Just watched the twins on Bo Nickal podcast. Yeah, you aren't separating these two. -
Perhaps JB is now salivating at the idea of going to WTT at 79 KG. Salivating but not eating anything.

Article 43 – Technical Superiority Except from the fall and the disqualification, the bout must be stopped before the end of regular time when: - There are 8 points difference in Greco Roman style and 10 points difference in Freestyle between the wrestlers The bout may not be interrupted to declare the winner by technical superiority until the action is completed (see article 27). Article 27 – End of the Bout The bout ends either when a fall, a disqualification by injury of one of the opponents are declared, or at the end of the regular time. A match ends by technical superiority (8 points difference in Greco Roman wrestling and 10 points difference in Freestyle and Women’s wrestling). When a wrestler scores 8 points more than his opponent in Greco-Roman Wrestling and 10 points more in Freestyle and Women’s Wrestling, he wins the match by superiority. In any case, the referee must wait for the end of the action: attack, counter-attack or takedown where the wrestler is in a position that may lead to a fall. If the referee has not heard the gong, the mat chairman must intervene and stop the bout by throwing a soft object on the mat, in order to attract the referee’s attention. Any action begun at the time when the gongsounds is not validated and no action performed between the sounds of the gong and the referee’s whistle is valid. When the bout has ended, the referee stands in the center of the mat facing the mat chairman’s table. The wrestlers shake hands, stand on either side of the referee and await the decision. They are forbidden to lower the shoulder straps of their singlet before leaving the competition hall. Immediately after the decision is announced, the wrestlers shake hands with the referee. Each wrestler must then shake hands with his opponent’s coach. If the above provisions are not observed, the wrestler at fault will be penalized in accordance with the Disciplinary Regulations. It would seem that Carr was not in a position that would lead to a fall, so they stopped the match when MM attained a 10 point lead. At least that is the way I interpret it.
