The point is the Muslim Religion majority supports this treatment of women. And you support them. -

Yep. Libtardos care more about them than Americans. Ever wonder why???? -
I think there’s a couple questions related to what you’ve mentioned here: 1. Why did he change his mind? 2. What’s the financial implications? From my perspective, question 1 is irrelevant. He needs to decide what’s right for him and the answer is really just for my understanding. I’d love to know, but won’t question his decision based on any outcome. Question 2 is fully speculative. That $5mm number seems outlandish to me, but does it really matter? There’s a lot fluctuating now with compensation. Regardless of the numbers, I don’t blame the student athlete for shooting for the optimal payday. There’s no real professional outlet after college. They should get as much as possible. It’s a fair question to ask WHO can play on the same field, but once again - for our understanding of the marketplace, and not any indictment on Bo’s commitment.

no you're just making things up. you still haven't told me when he's old enough to be a legitimate target for criticism.

@BobDole gives me a hernia check before every post I make on this board. Is that not how this is supposed to work? -
I want what’s best for my kids and grandkids too. Good news is I don’t have to encourage them to do anything. They know there’s no better place on the planet to be.

I think the point is he already “did his thing.” Started out with 70 schools or whatever and “wanted to take his time.” And now he’s changing his mind before he even starts his senior year of high school. I defended him before, but this isn’t really a great look IMO, unless something happened behind the scenes that we don’t know about. One of my main questions is…how exaggerated was the $5 million claims that were out there? And if they weren’t that exaggerated, how close is another school getting to that number?
-
Well said. Kid committed and had regrets. That’s fine. “Bad for the sport” is an overreaction.

Legally they're adults. But there's effectively no difference in maturity between a 17 and 18 year old (or older). When you have kids that age, you'll understand. -
so you are bought and paid for... principles mean nothing... just like i figured

people post about the poor children of gaza all the time but the poor women of iran get no recognition? -
I don't think so... I think someone just posed the question.

I don’t trust him much. I trust Iran far less though. “Death to America” helps that cause. -
Fair point, but hard to argue that it isn't good for him personally

That's exactly how I read it. I think it's more important for the person donating sometimes. You're not there, you can't do anything and...this at least makes it feel like you're helping in SOME way. But it definitely doesn't read as 'we need money for the bills.' *I also assume Ben would share with his wife how to access his cryptocurrency. I doubt he still has it in a password protected wallet, but...even if he does, he's a 40 year old father with 3 kids, I'm guessing it's with his other financial documents.

Legitimate question, why does it bother any of you guys? If the answer is because you’re Iowa fans, I get it. But let’s not pretend like we all had it figured out at 18. And sure it’s not great for the sport to commit and flip. But he should be worried about what’s right for him at 18, not the sport. IF he has a question about Iowa’s culture and if that’s the right place for him, his development, and his EDUCATION, than he would be short-changing himself not to make a change. At the end of the day, this is a kid (or young man, if you really want to get technical). Let him work out what’s best for him. Unfortunately, there’s a social media and promotional component, but that’s the sad state of current affairs. Cut away the fat, and this is a kid just working out what’s best for his development and growth as an athlete and person.

I have to echo the sentiment...i don't think there is any doubt that he has the Bo Nickal disease and starts fidgeting the second no one is paying attention.
-
Not a good loo for Bo or Iowa. Curious what drove this. Experience with Iowa or seeing what the experience of non-Iowa recruits is. I’m not 13 years old … but that said, I don’t expect to root much for this guy. Jax, Blaze, and other guys seem a lot less narcissistic.

its not good for the sport, anymore than Ferrari being an idiot does. Its like Flo, it farms within, doesn't grow a thing.

Him being an "attention whore" is a strategy to build a brand which is good for him and for the sport.
-
Not gonna lie it does bother me a little bit that he made such a big deal about his “commitment”, but then changed it anyway.
