But to answer Braves concern, it is a matter of who will pay for this. He wants to rapidly raise costs for the city and that means higher taxation, but who will get taxed? Businesses and the rich. Businesses will just raise their prices and Joe taxpayer will foot that bill. So costs go up in the city. Businesses can relocate and that will further exacerbate the situation. When the rich leave the city, then the burden will fall on those that don't or can't leave. Then it becomes the utopia you are looking for when the city can no longer afford these perks and expectations are shattered. This is a voice of warning that many are giving. It is borne out of history and experience. "There is no such thing as a free lunch" is as true today as it was yesterday. Someone eventually pays for the lunch.
