Let's pay WNBA players the same money as any man with those same skills. In other words, they would pay to play in a Tuesday night church league while working a real job. The world cup soccer chicks complained about their paychecks also. They sued because they were paid according to a different formula from the men's team. Forgetting, conveniently, that they had the option to be paid by the exact same formula the men were paid and voted against it! I think they were suing over the fact that no man interceded and made them vote in their best interest rather than with their feelings. Interestingly, both the men's team and the women's team would have been better compensated if they had taken the others' pay scheme. Of course, none of this has anything to do with absolute talent and skill levels. We all know 15 year old boys will beat the women's national soccer team. So paying the ladies the same that we pay 15 year olds to play soccer seems to be just mean and curmudgeonly.
