2027 Big Boarders
Winners Circle replied to Indiana-Hawk-Wrestling-Fan's topic in High School Wrestling
I am not 100% sure on this topic, so you may very well be right. But I do know that there is a US Territory "team" that competes at Fargo. For example, David Maldonado wrestled at U15 Pan-Ams (68 kg for Puerto Rico) and was silver in Free and bronze in GR and then competed at Fargo (for team UST) in 16U 150 (Free & GR) two months later. -
suriano is a broken toy.

Very first page...

As long as I've been going to officials meetings they have been blowing hot air that never gets implemented. This is basically an ongoing joke.

Is that really the purpose anymore? It was back in the 70s and 80s. But I have not seen that as the purpose since I got back into wrestling in a world scene in the late 90s. But these days it is better than it was in the 2000s for sure. I think tech fall should be 15 now that Takedowns are 2. JMHO. mspart

https://www.lehighvalleynews.com/nazareth-northampton/wrestling-champion-sammy-sasso-charged-with-gun-drug-crimes-in-nazareth old article - likely discussed in this thread … but the entirety of the read paints a picture of an idiot. Summary … “Let’s drive around in a car with an expired registration along with multiple guns while smoking weed.” Really freaking bad judgment and decision making. Sammy might be a great guy but this is a crap look. *the smoking weed part is me figuring this is what he was doing base on this part of the article: As Sasso was exiting the vehicle, according to police, an officer detected a strong odor of marijuana. He then saw what appeared to be packaging from a marijuana dispensary on the rear seat of the vehicle. Police said they also observed a separate canister that contained remnants of a green leafy substance. Sasso told police he does not have a valid Pennsylvania medical marijuana card, the affidavit said.

Michigan has become the Amsterdam of the midwest. Not sharing this as an endorsement or recommendation, but its fairly commonly known.

It also had Kyle Prewitt that was a starter for Little Rock and Lucas White that was a 3 year starter for American.

Truzz- if we are talking Bachman and Fargo, the reason I think he was not there is because he wrestles for PR which I dont think would allow him to compete there. Kind of part of the rules that have come out with country transfers etc. I think if a kid represents another country they are not allowed to wrestle in Fargo. I am pretty sure this is the case now when an athlete transfers to represent another country. -
and especially double asterisk for cases when Mineo appears to be demonstrating a clear bias to one side

As always.

That's epic.

The first part is very descriptive. Almost... too descriptive. Is the baguette in the room with us? haha

I did the day Thomas Gilman got hired.

Joe Kania is making wagers on the Twitter that he will be the 65 KG rep for 2028 and has even gone as far as to say that he knows things he can't say.

How many people predicted Spratley to be in finals last year? I’d bargain not many. 125 always has shock and awe in the bracket. Not gonna be surprised if Provo wins
-
For the most recent Oly Trials, despite being in State College all week Suriano was the last wrestler by far to pick up his credential/athlete packet etc. He didn't show up until 5 minutes before weigh ins and as best as I could tell he took an Uber to the venue in just his singlet and slides, had the Uber wait while he came in, got his credential, weighed in and then went right back out the door to his Uber. Doesn't help answer the question but that's my Suriano story and seemed as good a time as any to share it.

I don't think there's a possible dark horse to win. I think the champ comes out of the group of Robinson, LL, Sprat, Ventresca, or Jore. And none of those would be a dark horse imo. Dark horse to podium: Provo and Kael Lauridsen.

Jeez I hope so. Guy is entering his prime

Joe Kania ( NJ guy who used to work for Flo) swears Suriano is training and planning to make a run at 65 kg for 2028 and Joe seems to know his NJ stuff
