It’s actually a canal, not a retention pond. I can take the boat west and head to that big body of water surrounded by sand you see in the other picture. Or…I can take it east, north, or south and pull up to restaraunts, shops, or friends houses, or just chill in the connected lakes. Lots of options. It’s a unique little trait of this area of the cesspool. And….indoor? Vision problems? Who would want indoor around here when you have the beautiful sun 365 days a year??
-
North Dakota would destroy the wokesters. Easy.
-
If they were their own country, they'd definitely have nukes very quickly. Heck, they'd just purchase them right off the bat.
-
They'd also crush any of the winger states 1 on 1. Bunch of weak coward chicken hawks in the red states. It would be just like the Civil War. Talk tough about your own bravery and then walk home with your tail between your legs.
-
Need nukes nowadays. They’d never be allowed to have them. And building a navy would be very expensive.
-
Maybe not if the entire rest of the country ganged up on them, which I guess the wingers would like. But other than that, they have the economic resources to build a pretty nice military and do just fine.
-
California couldn’t protect itself if it was a country.
-
Do you know Brady? I agree with you, he is tough as hell, and way under the radar. He could make some major waves.
-
That's a beautiful retention pond you have looking out from that little indoor pool. WOW!!!!!
-
I hope they received another $20mil donation

Re: Burroughs, that would be unlikely since Valenti got hired on like, April 1. Although I guess that would be a hell of an April Fool's Joke.
-
So we agree. EVERY president does it. Just like I said.
-
-
He’s proposed it already sooooooo. Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to do it.
-
OMG. Yah, of course they could survive. Those guys are idiots if they argue otherwise. Why waste your time with such stupid arguments? I think a lot of people would end up moving out of that state/country though if water became that expensive. Most (or all) other states still wouldn't be able to touch them economically, even if they lost a lot of people.
-
Go down the list to each President. Republican and Democrat...and see who spends the most. It's not even REMOTELY close. And try and make sure you understand the assignment and understand the budgets are set a year in advance.
-
No...he does not. If he did, he'd have doen it in his "big beautiful bill." Instead, he gave the majority of the tax breaks to the top .02%.
-
No, it's not like saying that AT-ALL. It's like saying if California was it's own Country and they didn't have access to the Colorado River, they would ABSOLUTELY be able to survive...which is the point that was made that I was disputing. And what Gov't resource is used in unlimited situations? The ENTIRE conversation is if California could survive without the United States and who needs who more, the US needs California or California needs the United States. So I don't know why we're talking about "the most likely outcome is that they'd more likely just be grown somewhere else in the country." Sure...fine. But it wouldn't be part of "the Country" in this scenario.

The University of Pennsylvania announced this afternoon that 2024 NCAA All-American Lennox Wolak has been added to the Quaker coaching staff. Wolak will join Darian Cruz on Matt Valenti’s first coaching staff as the program’s head coach. Roger Reina is the head coach emeritus. Wolak is a familiar face for followers of the Ivy League as he spent four years wrestling for rival Columbia. While at Columbia, Wolak qualified for the NCAA Tournament twice. In 2024, Wolak captured an EIWA championship, which led to the #7 seed at nationals. Wolak advanced to the NCAA semifinals before settling for sixth place. After graduating from Columbia, Wolak transferred to Virginia Tech to use his final year of eligibility. In Blacksburg, Wolak battled through injuries to amass a 15-12 record. Despite a fourth-place finish at the ACC Championships, Wolak had a good run at nationals and came up a match shy of getting back on the NCAA podium. Wolak’s final collegiate record sits at 78-47 with three NCAA berths to his credit at 174 lbs. Penn will have a bit of a new look in Wolak’s weight range. Longtime starters at 174 and 184 lbs, Nick Incontrera and Max Hale, wrapped up their careers in 2025. Wolak will have to groom their replacements on the fly. Penn is coming off a 10-6 season that saw the Quakers finish second in the Ivy League Championships. They sent seven wrestlers to the NCAA Tournament. Four will return for the 2025-26 campaign.

What could it be? Burroughs as HC? Bassett and Miller committed?
-
55 & 4 rule ... let's get on it!
-
Ok...so as I said, it's something that Newsom, the State of California AND even Musk all agreed on... Are you arguing or agreeing with me? This doesn't mean MUSK is working on it. He is not. He's advocating for more desalination plants. That's it.

The fascism on one end is no different than the Marxism on the other end sooooooo

Everybody knows that most of the water goes to agriculture. Actually, the non-ag water can pretty much all be recycled. Ag water mostly can't. But that's what I'm saying. The crops would be expensive to grow and the most likely outcome is that they'd more likely just be grown somewhere else in the country, unless the energy was taxpayer-subsidized. Then they'd also just recycle all their municipal water (similar to Las Vegas) rather than desalinize it. And not "everything is used in limited situations." Not sure if you're really being serious with that crazy statement. Probably not. Can they do it? Absolutely! But it isn't economically viable to do on a widespread basis. It's very simple economics.

Not yet it’s not. It will be essential soon. The tree huggers don’t like it because it’s a negative impact on the marine environment. Minnesota has more shoreline than California does and it’s all freshwater. I’m sure they’ll sell it for a nice price.
