Its a flagship of pseudo intellect tripe as far as rules go. It doesn't encourage aggressive wrestling ever, its impossible to enforce consistently, and I've when you try to explain it to people who don't know the sport they scoff at it. Just take it out.

Hey was running past the other athletes, thier coaches and trainers etc. It was off putting because there was an organized procession of people before every match, they had everyone walk out in an organized fashion about a minute before their match, a little silly, but they were adding a bit of ceremony to add some gravity to the event. Anyway, gilman just ran pass everyone and did his own thing and I thought it was a bit obnoxious.

he's not one of these guys like burroughs or snyder who are surprisingly small when you see them in person.

two things: cox was hurt in that match with taylor which obviously made his normally evasive style a lot more of an eye sore. I probably agree that refs shouldnt care whether he's favoring an injury or not, but we're gonna need robots to ref if you want them to ignore that. If I was gonna give taylor a pass for being a jerk on twitter, which I do, I'd just say he hasn't done anything similar since. I wouldn't imply that he had a right to because an injured man did what he had to do to win. Also, i believe cox scored the only points in the second period of that match.

that part of what made me laugh, he doesn't know what weights he's going, but he wanted to get attention on social media, so he just put together an incoherent post. Sort of like when AJ declared himself the best 197 lbs ncaa wrestler ever, not bothering to consider the fact that cael was a 197 so he might as well have claimed goat status. They're genius'!

id be very curious to know what it would be like if you could push someone out who is grounded, but no TD or exposure had occurred...

Unfortunately he lost me again with his entrance, which consisted of sprinting past dozens of people and ignoring the instructions every other competitor in the tournament was able to respect.

and I should add, having a single leg up and pushing the guy out isn't peak drama, but it does destabilize the match in a way that the shot clock doesn't. If I get put on the clock, and I don't look terrible for the rest of the match, the refs are gonna put the other guy on or be accused of deciding the match, so I'm gonna keep doing what i was before. If I give up a position and get pushed out, the refs are gonna give that guy more slack as opposed to looking for an excuse to balance the equation.

its not abuse, they get one point not two, in folk it would be one not 3. Do you like it better when people stall on the edge or are about to get taken down but hide out of bounds?

well look at action/stalling in folk, the refs call it completely based on the score, a pushout would solve this, so yeah we need more free in folk.
