With Tyrel, they used the rational that as the top assistant it was time for him to find a head coaching position... and they helped out by taking his current job. Tyrel is the salt of the earth and an outstanding coach; anyone suggesting that he did anything to deserve this is just trying to make excuses for a pretty lousy way to treat someone.

It was already saved before Koll got there, despite how much he wants to take credit.

I also think they, and now Oklahoma State, with their billionaire benefactors have totally skewed the market with the amounts they're throwing around. It's created an untenable situation. Who got it unfair is Michigan, who got a reputation early on for poaching all because Mark Branch whined to Willie about something untrue, and Willie turned around and reported it as fact. But Buchanan didn't end up at Michigan, nor did some unnamed Virginia Tech kid (supposedly Stewart) that some anonymous VT idiot superfan started rumors about last summer nor did Yara Slavakouski, who Mineo accused Michigan of tampering with then deleted the tweet. Every one of those instances was always BS.

I've spoken to a couple guys who witnessed his dustup with Heindselman at weigh-ins, and it happened literally the opposite as AJ described in this interview. He started it by calling Heindselman a "fat f*ck" and he was the one who wanted to take it to the wrestling mat. So, this guy is either totally delusional or a pathological liar.

I like Michigan's odds of at least being in the final four. If Bassett is serious about Olympic/world freestyle, which I assume he is, Michigan currently ranks second only to Penn State in that area. Oklahoma State might build that side up quickly, but Iowa has fallen off substantially (outside of Lee) and Ohio State is practically non-existent.
