  1. Yianni manhandled Duke in the first match. Man vs.Boy. Yianni came out strong in the second match, building a sizable lead (9-2, IIRC). Then about halfway through the match, Duke exploded. Yianni suddenly looked tired and beaten. I don’t think he ever really recovered from that the rest of the night. Third match was even-ish, slightly in favor of Yianni, when Duke pinned Yianni. Yianni wrestled cautiously in the third match, almost too much so.
  2. Similar situation with my dad. He went into the hospital for shoulder surgery, and never came home. He contracted a C. Diff infection during his hospital stay and died about a month after the operation.
  3. Hospitals are filthy. It's where sick people congregate. And lots of bodily secretions of various forms are shed there, and then make their way onto the floors and equipment, and eventually other people.
  4. I don't care at all about 92, 97, and 125. Really looking forward to 86, 61, and 70, in that order (where 86 is the main event of the whole card, IMO).
  5. Alright, I'll give you that.
  6. How did Trump contribute to this night of great wrestling?
  7. Great match, great win. Sounds like a typical Trump-tard, but on this evening, I won't hold it against him.
  8. 184 is the most anticipated bout, but probably not the best one for the casual viewer. This could be a 2-0 match, or a similar low-scoring affair that lacks any firepower. I doubt the average sports fan will get hooked on wrestling from watching this bout.
  9. Likewise. I also feel like McEnelly had the better shot at beating Carter in the finals, if he could have made it there.
  10. AJ can quit the Jesus act now.
  11. Great suggestion. Cool place to visit. There used to be a good restaurant/bar right across the street from it, too...not sure if it's still there. Another unique place to visit is the Mutter Museum in Rittenhouse Square. It's explores the history of medicine, and is filled with some really strange stuff...if you want to see a massive diseased colon, or an enormous preserved testicle, this play has got you covered.
  12. He's pretty short (5' 5") to move up too much in weight. His long arms offset the lack of height a bit, but he's going to be a really short 74kg if he chooses that weight.
  13. I think you just described my entire life in one sentence.
  14. If you were in a fight, who would you rather be on top of - a freestyler who can't spell reversal or escape, or a folkstyler?
  15. He’s much better without Cormier at his side.
  16. Folkstyle has been the basis for USA wrestling for more than a century, and Americans have enjoyed international success during that time. The 'blame-it-on-folkstyle' sentiment seems more like a handy excuse when the USA has a poor tournament.
  17. Japan got to Dake’s leg at will.
  18. Based on the t-shirt, PSU has to be the frontrunner for landing Bo.
  19. Don’t forget Jim Thorpe. A couple of Olympic gold medals (decathlon and pentathlon), and played professionally in three sports in the United States (baseball, football, and basketball). He also considered playing professional hockey, but that never panned out. At 6 feet 1 and 200 pounds, he was a solidly built athlete. Thorpe is currently in the NFL Hall of Fame.
  20. Gable was given a workout yesterday by the Buffalo Bills. Maybe the NFL is in his future?
  21. “Have you ever done DMT?”
  22. Brooks, you are the most annoying and piss-poor post-match interviewee of all time. Absolutely no insight whatsoever.
  23. I like Fix, but he's worn out his welcome in college wrestling. Kind of like Max Dean.
  24. God's Warrior just got hammered. Praise Be.
  25. I was just going to ask about Greg D. He's been out of HS for four years. For a five-time HS state champion, his college career has been underwhelming. Was hoping that he would be a starter this year.
