  1. If I have $1 in my bank account, get paid $10 on Friday, and pay $2 to my student loans on Monday, are we pretending that it didn’t come from the same pool of $11? Really? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Here’s a bit more: https://theintercept.com/2022/11/09/student-debt-relief-lawsuit-ppp-myra-brown/ A woman who can’t pay off her private loans gets free money for…things…from PPP, for her own home business. That money then goes, sooner or later, towards her student loan payments. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Do what one of the plaintiffs did: Pay off your student loans with a PPP loan for your arts and crafts business you run out of your home. Get $48,000, then get $47,996 of that loan relieved and use $17,000 of it to pay off your private loans to SMU. https://original.newsbreak.com/@kevinjamesshay-1698260/3046310329832-business-group-plaintiff-that-filed-lawsuit-before-scotus-to-block-student-loan-relief-received-ppp-loan-forgiveness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. SCOTUS has ruled that police have no legal responsibility to protect (and serve) you. Castle Rock vs Gonzalez, 2005. Which is kind of horrific. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. This is the way that admissions are moving for a lot of higher end schools. If you're #1 in your class of 50, with a 32 ACT, from a less-than-great school on a New Mexico reservation, you're a more impressive candidate than a kid who is #50 in his class of 500, with a 34, from a wealthy Chicago suburb (everything else being similar).
  7. I thought Nick Lee was listed as going? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. The UC system has already demonstrated a way to get a diverse, highly qualified student body. Also, the number of Americans actually impacted by this is very small. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Are we talking about the same Joe Biden who hasn't refused the FBI access to any of his properties or storage facilities? Whose lawyers found documents and voluntarily turned them over to the government? Now, compare that to Trump, who has apparently intentionally and purposefully moved classified documents multiple times after being asked to return them by the federal government. Do you understand the difference between the two situations? One is a mistake, which Biden worked with the feds to correct and make right. Pence? The exact same thing. Worked to make it right. Invited lawyers from the DOJ into his properties. Trump, on the other hand, was asked multiple times to hand over the classified records in question, and not only refused, but moved those records in an attempt to evade the DOJ.
  10. Do they? Because BB hasn’t been bonused at 141 by anyone, ever. Has given up back points zero times in college. Neither of those guys beat people up on top, either. Evan Henderson was a 2x AA whose best finish was 4th at 141. Ashnault went 8th, 4th and 6th at 141. So, if he’s better from neutral and has little to fear on bottom, I kind of doubt that either of them destroy him in folk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sure, but we're talking likely scenarios. Aaron Brooks could slip on a banana peel thrown by a nefarious cartoon character in the tunnel at CHA and injury default next year and have to MF to Glazier. But the most likely scenario is he beats the brakes off of Glazier. Similarly, I will take the guy who beat multiple AAs en route to placing 3rd over the guy who went 17-13 and never had a top-10 win. I'll take the guy who took 2nd as an 18 year old over the Iowa 6th year who took 4th.
  12. He also beat NCAA champ Anthony Ashnault and Final X participant Evan Henderson in the same tournament. Both of those guys are better than Woods.
  13. “Many of the students felt that Strauss’ behavior was an ‘open secret,’ as it appeared to them that their coaches, trainers and other team physicians were fully aware of Strauss’ activities, and yet few seemed inclined to do anything to stop it," investigators from the law firm Perkins Coie wrote in a 180-page report. The investigators reported that “Strauss sexually abused at least 177 male student-patients.” In the complaint to the Supreme Court, two former Ohio State wrestlers identified as John Doe 18 and John Doe 23 said Jordan was aware that the athletes referred to Strauss as "Dr. Cough." The coaching staff showed “no concern despite the athletes’ frequent comments about genital exams,” the complaint states. Also, when the wrestlers complained about Strauss and other strange men leering at them in the showers, Jordan and head coach Russ Hellickson told them to “pretend they were not there.” “Because Coach Hellickson, Assistant Coach Jordan, and the athletic department treated Dr. Strauss’s behavior as acceptable, John Doe 23 believed there was nothing he could do to address his discomfort with Dr. Strauss,” the complaint states. NBC News has reached out to Hellickson for comment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. It is kind of absurd that Brooks will more or less be penalized by winning the challenge tournament, and that Zahid, if he medals at 92kg, will sit out until the semis of OTTs. If you’re a young Olympic weight challenger to a an older guy with a very strong chance of medaling at worlds, there’s very little incentive to wrestle at the Olympic weight. Good on Brooks for winning the challenge tournament and trying to take down the ultimate boss, though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. A while back was some speculation that the B1G might require/force UCLA and USC to field wrestling teams. If they could get a big name coach, both of those schools would be an easy sell for kids from CA and AZ. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. Money says he doesn’t die a natural death, and that he dies in the next year. Polonium something something. His guys killed a good number of Russian servicemen yesterday and made Putin scoot on down the dusty trail from Moscow. It’s an embarrassment he’s not going to forget or forgive. 24. You’re way, way off. Prighozin did some prison time, but that was in Russia, for theft, assault, etc, as a teenager. Got out, started a hotdog stand with his parents and leveraged that into grocery stores, restaurants, gambling establishment and eventually found himself with enough money to start one of oldest classical businesses: mercenaries for hire.
