You are conflating conservative with originalist/textualist, which is okay in a way. Judgment based on limited government and original intent is a lot less political than the newfound, unenumerated, or implied rights the three ‘liberal’ justices employ.

You’re bouncing all over the place on this. There is no more rational or less political structure, anywhere. The truth is, the court has suffered from activists, no matter which party they were nominated by, than by originalist/textualists. In fact, your complaints and solutions both would pull the court to a more political state to satisfy.

The Border Patrol needs to be backed up by ICE enforcement of laws against hiring and housing illegals.

You suggest that the court is illegitimate because the president isn’t elected by popular vote - which would be unconstitutional - then support packing it to delegitimize it. Illogical.

FTFYAH In Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill, in the WinStar Casino, there are two huge, wall sized photos of Keith entertaining troops overseas. In one Keith is wearing his cowboy hat, surrounded by troops. In the other, Toby is wearing one of the troops hat that has the unit patch on it and one of the troops is wearing Toby’s cowboy hat. That means something to guys whose attitude is “don’t mess with my hat.” RIP Toby, you did well.

The rules for takedowns this year are absolutely mangled. There’s too many refs making the same calls to blame them, I think.

Good chance that the decision to put a backup out at 125 amounted to six of one, half a dozen of the other. The difference was established on the mat by Spratley defeating Surtin; Travis defeating Mauller; and Thompson defeating Mocco. The upsets. Watching Fix, it looked like he was super fired up at the beginning of the season. Now it appears that with the realization that the team truly is strong, he’s on cruise, not trying to carry so much on his shoulders. He looks like he’s ready to take it to the tournaments.

Nine is fine no matter how many people are in the country. We don’t need 81 different opinions on constitutionality, sometimes nine is too many. We’ve got plenty of lower court judges to hash out all the various theories.
