  1. For me upsets could only be: Steen over Lee Teske over Bravo Young Brands over Starocci Assad over Brooks All other matches are within reasonable level of competition that even if it's not a tossup it's expected to be close.
  2. Is this an upset pick or is he injured?
  3. I know Ventresca always beats Flynn head to head but I wonder if Flynn has a higher upside.
  4. Let's go Knights!
  5. Thanks I will check this out. I've been doing it the old fashioned way haha
  6. Favorite by weight class as of this moment in time: 125: Matt Ramos 133: Lucas Byrd 141: Andrew Alirez 149: Austin Gomez 157: Ed Scott 165: Mikey Caliendo 174: Micky O'Malley 184: Lenny Pinto 197: Yonger Bastida 285: Dayton Pitzer
  7. I love Gomez and Andonian as well. Since you mentioned them, wonder if you have seen any of Luke Nichter of Drexel. Check out the opening move in this one
  8. This is why I really enjoyed rooting for Hamiti last year as a true freshman who had been in high school the year prior. Also major props to Spencer Moore at UNC last year who started at 125 at 17 years old after skipping a year of high school during covid. He wrestled Liam Cronin at one point who was old enough to be his babysitter
  9. here is a little teaser since I just finished EIWA. The following are the only 23 states which have a D1 wrestler at all ten weights in the sense that they claim their hometown within this state. This is only one of the fun outputs from the data, but a number of the states below will be significantly impacted as I add the SoCon and the MAC to complete the list.
  10. Okay @Wrestleknownothing here are my final predictions if you are still keeping track: 125: Lee by fall over Steen 6-0 133: Bravo-Young by decision over Teske 6-3 141: Woods by decision over Bartlett 9-3 149: Van Ness by decision over Murin 9-6 157: Haines by decision over Siebrecht 9-9 165: Kennedy by decision over Facundo 12-9 174: Starocci by decision over Brands 12-12 184: Brooks by decision over Assad 12-15 197: Dean by decision over Warner 12-18 285: Cassioppi by decision over Kerkvliet 15-18, Nittany Lions win by three
  11. I got a good laugh out of this. Fun video

  12. R12 would be a possibility but a disappointing one. He has already pinned Hillger and beat Schultz 4-0. Majored Wolfgram and Taylor. Only loss to Lucas Davison in midlands finals
  13. Love also that he implies riders are weak, turners are strong, and pinners are best
  14. He is brave, but not true
  15. Nice idea but I can't imagine anyone else would want the burden. It's not fun. I promise it will be complete before Nationals
  16. Show your Pitz!!!
  17. I've been slowly putting together a list which contains the high school, hometown, and home-state of every Division 1 wrestler. Been going by conference and have half of EIWA, SOCON and MAC still left to go... been many hours of data gathering. Need to make this more efficient
  18. and Rocco Camilacci at Princeton makes six
  19. PSU is favored but Iowa has a few different paths to victory.
  20. InterMat Wrestling - Injury Ends DePrez's Season; Will Join Binghamton Staff (intermatwrestle.com) Very unfortunate but wish him well as a coach
  21. I think 149, 165, and 285 are all tossups. 157 should see Siebrecht as favored IMO unless Haines goes.
  22. This seems perfectly reasonable to me and would result in a Hawkeye victory. Could be a close one 125: Spencer Lee by fall over Gary Steen 6-0 133: Roman Bravo-Young by decision over Brody Teske 6-3 141: Real Woods by decision over Beau Bartlett 9-3 149: Max Murin by decision over Shayne Van Ness 12-3 157: Cobe Siebrecht by decision over Terrel Barraclaugh 15-3 165: Patrick Kennedy by decision over Alex Facundo 18-3 174: Carter Starocci by decision over Nelson Brands 18-6 184: Aaron Brooks by decision over Abe Assad 18-9 197: Max Dean by decision over Jacob Warner 18-12 285: Greg Kerkvliet by decision over Tony Cassioppi 18-15 Iowa
  23. Took me a moment to make the connection- bear claw and pastry. Assumed you were talking about Jimmy
  24. And he says "print that" lol. The way he talks about not hanging and stuff - you can tell it comes from his heart and it resonates with me actually although I'm not a big fan of the guy
