  1. I avoided checking the score all day yesterday and watched it by myself with a cold one after the family went to bed. I was more than pleasantly surprised. Very exciting match. Good amount of banter between teams without going over the top. Amazing ending as well.
  2. Please tell me Zillmer wrestler 103 in high school
  3. Earlier this season Ethan Smith inexplicably lost to Lennox Wollack from Columbia and there was a concerted effort by everyone on this board, led by @MPhillipsto ensure it was removed from our collective memory.
  4. I only saw the result and wondered if it was one of those fluke type situations as I described above. On the other hand, I don't want to automatically discredit the Lindenwood bloke who I don't even know
  5. first thanksgiving I remember actually getting to enjoy was freshman year of high school. I weight about 98 lbs (there is poster with this name haha) and for the first time since age 6, I didn't have to watch my weight for a thanksgiving weekend tournament. that went away until college and then I dedicated myself to making up for lost time.
  6. Today I saw something in a match that I don't remember seeing since Lizak vs Gilman or Rohn vs Lambrecht. A wrestler who was on their way to being teched - turning it around at the last second and earning a pin - only to shock everyone in the arena, including themselves. The match in question was Dazjon Casto vs Cesar Alvan in today's Pitt vs Columbia dual. Casto was up 14-1 and Alvan was visibly injured with a wobbly leg after multiple injury timeouts. The writing was on the wall, so it seemed, and the tech was only a matter of time. I actually thought I saw Casto intentionally avoid twisting Alvan's knee at the end in a demonstration of humanity and mercy. However, moments later, the gimpy Alvan tosses Casto to the ground with a lateral drop and pins him at the edge of the mat. Quite an incredible turnaround.
  7. Nice, I was 103/103/112/125 in high school. Senior year they started imposing a new law with regard to body fat percentage or else I would have been 119.
  8. if both teams were at full strength, what happens that's different: probably Surtin over Ventresca by decision at 125 in a 7 point swing. 157 with Andonian instead of Ulrey is at least 4 points instead of 3 for the Hokies, and I think we could have seen a pin. All that to say - I don't think either team was at more of a relative disadvantage going into it
  9. Jajensen can can you tell us the best way to eat chili and a cinnamon roll
  10. Alvarez still looks big for 141 - wonder if he had a late growth spurt and needs to go 149. Soldano continues to impress. He has a very exciting style also.
  11. Glory won a decision over Peterson at 125. Heilman won for Rutgers at 133. Alvarez lost to Coles at 141. 6-3 Princeton
  12. Going back to the Burwick thread - do we know that Schwab and UNI signed off on the papers to release him?
  13. Combine with the fact that his cousins and good friends the Gibsons just transferred there. He seems like a Penn State kid.
  14. stealing my dad's whiskey
  15. Rocky Jordan over Nelson Brands
  16. @Formally140, that was a gritty win, no doubt!
  17. Chattanooga seems to have a pretty conservative style as a team
  18. and what's this - backpoints!!
  19. crazy we saw a takedown
  20. Was close but didn't look like a takedown yet to me
  21. Two matches that have been evenly contested, but without much action. Hopefully we get something going soon
  22. My favorite ducking of all time was last year when Glory ducked Ybarra
  23. Lee ducked Ashton
  24. How common is a navy ride? How about a blair ride? j/k
