Does he not get to wrestle with DT? I'm confused...he was marginally better than Little last year and he hasn't widened the gap. If fact, you could say Little is slightly better now. Merrill's no better on the mat, in fact Little had more riding time.

I mean isn't that what everyone was saying?? All these guys with a chance to work & wrestle with DT on a daily basis were going to jump levels in their wrestling?? Wouldn't you expect that to happen?

Imagine being Norman and leaving a Stanford education to be...a backup at a bad academic school. I thought DT was going to have a huge impact on Berge, Norman, Lockett, and Merrill. No jumps by any of those guys or any of the Okie State holdovers from the prior regime.

The win at the US Open was definitely fluky but he lost 7-1 & 8-4 at WTT so he's within reach and he's just turned 21. I could definitely see him making a jump and figuring some stuff out. Knox just graduated HS & took Spencer down. Idk, I could see those two passing Spencer up but yes, I would also not be surprised to see Spencer hold off these two like JB was able to do to Dake and Taylor for so long.

57- LL. Dark horse is Knox. I wonder what Devino will look like down at 57kg.. 65- Bassett. Definitely the most fun weight. Wouldn't be surprised to see Blaze, Jax, Seidel, maybe Valencia? as our reps either. 74- Mesenbrink. Dark horse is PJ Duke 86- Levi 97- Snyder. Will Brooks be cleared by OTT? 125- Trumble. I'm not sure if you know what a straw man argument is....it was stated Cael wrestles the easiest schedule possible and I simply showed facts/evidence why that is incorrect. Imagine a college football team plays 5 of the top 7 teams in the country, barely breaks a sweat, and idiots still ran their mouth saying "tHeY dIDnT pLaY anYOne!!!!" just because they didn't play the #2 team during the regular season.

Here were their dual opponents last year. #3 beatdown 26-12 #4 beatdown 32-3 #5 beatdown 36-5 (these were the NDI champs btw) #6 beatdown 42-0 #7 beatdown 38-3 Then they proceeded to enter a tournament with ALL of those teams minus Stanford & beat the 2nd place team by 36 points. Would wrestling 1 more tough team REALLY prepare them any better for NCAA's??

You're more naive than I thought if you believe NIL is actually monetizing the value of their name, image, and likeness. It's payouts by wealthy donors to ensure that said athlete comes to your school and helps your team win. If they don't have any intent on doing that, they don't get paid.

correct. It's funny to see people upset at the Brands and automatically taking the side of Endene. If this is just related to his injury, do people honestly think the University of Iowa doesn't have a trainer or medical team that Brands is getting constant updates from about Endene. "Hey trainer/doc, what's up with Endene? How serious is this? Do we need to shut him down for the year and apply for a medical redshirt, or is this more of a comfort thing?" And when the trainer/doc tells Brands it's a comfort thing, yes, they SHOULD be upset he's not practicing, even a modified practice, or competing. These are not just "student-athletes" anymore. They are being paid 6 or sometimes 7 figures to compete & win. You don't get to collect a free check and hang out...unless you're a "learing center" in Minneapolis.

Apparently never set up any type of account to help with NIL or transfer portal. This next year their results will show they've officially hit Kevin Jackson/Kerry McCoy level rock bottom.

I think a lot of people are too quick to assume that Arnold beats PK. I think it's likely that Arnold is the odd man out and Brands is going to have his hands full convincing him not to jump in the portal.

Lol what? Our team would be better off if a multiple time medalist, world champ and olympian were retired? Who on the HWC roster adds any value to USA Wrestling outside of Spencer Lee?? I don't think Sorensen, Marinelli, Kaleb Young, or Eierman have wrestled a senior level match in years. Regardless, none of them would even be competitive with the top 5 of the ladder right now. The rest..DeSanto and Warner? They're well outside the top 5 and are nothing more than glorified warm up partners for Spencer & Buchanan.

Also, there's something to going in to the post season with a high level of confidence. If Arnold loses here (which he would) I can imagine his confidence heading in to Big Tens will be at an all time low with losing to McEnelly and Plott back to back.
