  1. No. It's about two primary subjects - Elon and Trump. In the context of an additional subject, the Big Fat Ugly Bill.
  2. So true. 100% agreed. It will still fail miserably. But it won't be for the same reasons. Just new ones.
  3. The only verifiable idiot I see here is one who thinks he knows how I vote.
  4. I see that. And, in particular, I see that 1979 was 46 years ago. Probably something you need to rethink.
  5. No, not at all. Are you kidding? If you don't see Musk as a legitimate player here, you're confused. The rest of this story isn't written. Trump is the egomaniacal blowhard he's always been. And these "ideas" that are attributed to him all come from other people. Much smarter other people who gave donations to him. He is literally a King in that sense. Taking money from all and bought by the highest bidder as long as his ego allows it. His only interest is in counting his money. Policy can simply be sold to the highest bidder - very much like it's currently done in the middle east. NONE of his policies come from him, they all come from the highest bidders. (Yes, the Executive branch of the US Government is now run exactly like a sh**hole country in the middle east. It's true.) The rest of the Republicans run scared - even if they obviously disagree with Trump. They have to choose between career suicide or going along with the Trump pack and holding their nose for 3 more years. No surprise, politicians cave. BUT Musk knows all of this and has the money to shake it all up. And given Trumps approval rating slump - a lot of people still like Musk and see that he might be the less shady of both these shady guys. (Which I believe... slightly.) Is it all about trump? No. He's a puppet king and not a tiny bit more. At this point, it's all about Elon.
  6. Good one! Where could you have possibly got that quote from? You should really reference the author. Would only seem fair.
  7. In the Big Fat Ugly Bill that is the topic of the thread? Zero dollars allocated. Zero. No cost at all. (I would hope you don't think that the scope of this thread includes all state and federal spending of all time. If that is your claim - you're just being a silly snake.)
  8. It's not and has never been about some fictional generalization about who/what we "like" or "don't like." We are all human. And we all know people are capable of doing good things one day, and terrible things the next. And vice versa. C'mon - don't be a weirdo. Any notion that human behavior is a constant is childish.
  9. It may "seem simple" to you. I have no doubt that's true. Here's a link for you - Dunning–Kruger effect - Wikipedia Sometimes, when folks post with much ego and little knowledge, they aren't even aware they are being wicked. None of this is simple. If you think it is, that should be your first clue.
  10. I recall every single post I make. And I appear to be just about the only one who goes back to quote my posts as a reference to make it clear to those that are too dumb, lazy, or drunk to go back and find the posts themselves. (Yes, this includes you.) You are right about the booze - but wrong about it being me. We all know exactly who the boozer and his multiple aliases are. Appreciate you bringing it up.
  11. The Big Fat Ugly Bill that the president (of similar proportions) signed today includes allocating $85 million to move the Discovery Space Shuttle from the Smithsonian to Texas - and to construct a facility to house it. No wonder Elon is mad as a hatter. Let's do the math. He had to fire the equivalent of some 100,000 people to regain 10 years of their combined future salary to generate this much money. Money that he thought was intended to be used to pay down the US debt. Elon was simply conned. There was never any intention of paying down the debt by the Trump administration. It was always about giving the ultra-wealthy, who funded Trump's campaigns, the biggest tax cuts in history. While increasing taxes on the low to middle income groups. All while increasing the US deficit by trillions of dollars over the next decade. So much for paying down the debt. We're going in the opposite direction of that. And Musk is, understandably, PO'd.
  12. The thing about the English language is that so many words can be used in so many different ways. Kind of interesting really. Ever played the NYT Connections game to sharpen your mind? I recommend it. In any case, you seem to have forgotten what happened. You seem to rely on projection to offset your bad memory. Keep doing it if you like. But it is important for you to realize what it is you're doing. It can be mentally unhealthy.
  13. I didn't claim it was your argument - it was a question... hint: see the question mark at the end of my sentence? I never claimed I knew "how many terrorists the FBI are aware of." That was a quote from you - not me. These are such simple mistakes. You should really calm down before you post.
  14. Nice job. And also, good to know you own ScootersHonor, GeneMillsWhatever, and mspart-of-your-biatch-network. Proud of you JimmySpanks. You're really moving up in this virtual world. Maybe getting close to 3 in a world where the others are in the 500,000's - and the tops are in the 1B+ Keep spanking it Jimmy - you'll catch up. (Oh, and don't forget to be mean to posters. Being mean to people that want to participate is probably the formula the biggest winners are using. Right?)
  15. ... not to ruin the surprise, but mspart is playing some guitar and recording a little bit of it for him to share.
  16. Your argument is that the US is aware of every terrorist on the planet? I hope that's no what you're going with here.
  17. You are a dolt that made the criteria for being booted a long time ago.
  18. That is exactly what I'm talking about - just post like 5 seconds of Kansas. That's first year guitar stuff. You don't have to be good at it. Good isn't the point. Just play like nobody is listening. You can play the songs - so just fire 'em up and give us a short audio sample. (I'll help you with uploading if you need it.)
  19. I appreciate that. As long as we're going to spend time here exchanging ideas. The very least we can do is to show enough respect to not misrepresent others we may not agree with. I could easily misrepresent your posts, which would lead us to nowhere better - just more bickering. Your conviction is suspect at this point, but I'm sure you'll come around. Because... logic.
  20. Wrestling is the oldest and greatest sport, while the world's oldest profession is still sex-for-pay. Kyle Snyder famously took part in it. No problem there. Not a negative word for months. Apparently, sex trafficking isn't a problem around these parts as much as you might be making it out to be? In other words - don't judge those that contribute financially based on what you think might be "best look." Contributions are 100% great. Don't make it about politics.
  21. An excellent quote. But discerning the difference between the wicked and righteous is an unenviable task if done earnestly.
  22. That's an awfully cute idea. But it stumbles and falls down the stairs on the detail of "known terrorist" The US is only aware of a small percentage of actors involved with terrorism. And more are recruited every day. This "vetting" you post about is utter nonsense. Those that are sent here are unknown and will pass silently.
